“Any reason why you’re staring at me?”
You avert your eyes down to your milkshake, your face beginning to warm, “S-Sorry, I just really like your hat—um beanie, I mean.”
He stares for a moment, “Oh.” His eyes moved back to his laptop screen and the two of you didn’t speak for the next few seconds.
You shift uncomfortably in your seat and focus back on your novel in front of you.
“I like your shirt.”
A smile reached your lips as you glance up to see his eyes still trained on his laptop. You were practically blushing now looking down at your Transformer shirt.
“Thanks.”

Beanies and Negotiations

Pairing: Jughead Jones x Reader

Description: Betty and Veronica observe (Y/N) and Jughead’s friendship, Jughead’s signature grey beanie seeming to be a catalyst for the more flirtatious points in their relationship

Warnings: none

Word count: 1,182

A/N: this is my first imagine, feedback is greatly appreciated!

Veronica and Betty sat in a booth at Pop’s, each girl sipping on her own milkshake.  They smiled and laughed as they chatted about random topics, the subject ranging from schoolwork to their friends.  After their giggles died down from joking about Kevin’s antics, the conversation landed on the topic of (Y/N) and Jughead.

“So (Y/N) and Jughead have been friends forever, like you and Archie, right?” Veronica asked.

“Yeah, they’ve been best friends for as long as any of us could remember,” Betty said, smiling.  “They used to chase each other around everywhere. It was so cute.  I remember this one time, we were in first grade and the four of us were playing in Archie’s backyard.  Suddenly, Jughead got down on one knee, took off his beanie, and proposed to (Y/N).”

“No!” Veronica gasped, covering a smile.

“Yes!” Betty giggled. “Archie and I were so shocked, but (Y/N) just smiled and put on the beanie.  She told him, ‘We’re much too young to get married, Juggie.  Ask me again when we’re eighteen and I’ll say yes.’” Veronica laughed and Betty soon joined her.  Once their laughter subsided, Veronica’s wandering eyes found Jughead sitting a few booths away, typing away on his computer.

“Speak of the devil,” she smirked, pointing at him as Betty turned around to look.  He sat by himself, ignorant to the world as he wrote his story.

“I’m surprised (Y/N)’s not with him,” Betty commented as she turned back to face Veronica.  She shrugged.

“I bet you she’ll walk in within the next ten minutes.”

Sure enough, a few minutes later (Y/N) entered the Chock’lit Shoppe.  She stood by the entrance for a minute, her eyes scanning the diner. Finally, she spotted Jughead and walked over to the booth.  Sliding into the same seat as Jughead, she rested her chin on his shoulder.  Betty and Veronica watched as her mouth moved, but they couldn’t hear what she was saying.

“Ugh, I can’t hear them!” Veronica moaned.  Betty nodded.

“Me too.  Maybe we could move a bit closer?” she suggested. “But be subtle about it.”  The girls slowly picked up their milkshake glasses and shifted down a few booths, so now they were within earshot of Jughead and (Y/N). Neither of them seemed to notice.

“It’s very well-written,” (Y/N) commented, her eyes scanning Jughead’s laptop screen.  “Very eloquent and ominous.”  The corners of Jughead’s lips curved upwards, but he didn’t take his eyes off the screen.

“Thanks,” he replied, continuing to type.  Betty and Veronica continued to observe their interactions, watching as Jughead continuously stole (Y/N)’s fries, to which she would reciprocate with a slap on his arm. At one point Jughead became so invested in his story that he completely zoned out, unable to hear (Y/N).

“Juggie,” she pestered him, lightly poking his arm.  “Come on, Jughead.  Earth to Juggie?”  He remained stoic as (Y/N) sighed, leaning back in the seat.  After a moment of thought, she sprung up again.  She smirked as she snatched the beanie off of Jughead’s head and tugged it onto hers.  That seemed to snap him out of his trace, because immediately he slammed his laptop shut and reached out to take it back.  (Y/N) giggled and ran out from their booth, running over to Betty and Veronica.  The two girls shifted so it would appear that they weren’t eavesdropping on their conversation.

“Quick, move,” (Y/N) urged as she squeezed past Betty into the booth.  Jughead slowly approached their table, his eyes never shifting from (Y/N).

“Give it back,” he demanded as he stood right in front of the table.  Betty and Veronica bit their lips in an attempt to keep their giggles at bay.  (Y/N) shook her head.

“Not unless you let me wear it tomorrow,” she bargained.  Jughead scoffed and crossed his arms.

“This isn’t a negotiation,” he told her.  He leaned over to grab it off (Y/N)’s head, but she swatted his arm away.

“This is a negotiation,” she replied, smirking.  “I have something that we both want.  I’m proposing a fair deal to you.  Take it or leave it.”  Jughead released an exasperated sigh as he looked at Betty and Veronica.

“Can either of you please give that back to me?” he pleaded.  The two girls almost missed the slight upward twitch of his lips. Veronica pursed her lips, trying to hide her smile.

“Nope,” she said, popping the ‘p’.  “I think it’s a fair deal.”  Betty shrugged and nodded.

“I agree,” she stated. Jughead let out another frustrated groan and (Y/N) smirked.

“The girls have spoken, Juggie.  Do we have a deal?” she questioned.

“Fine,” Jughead agreed, rolling his eyes.  (Y/N) smirked triumphantly, jumping over the seat and out to stand next to Jughead. He grabbed the beanie off her head and placed it onto his.  A smirk began to creep onto his face.

“You didn’t make me pinky promise,” he taunted before retreating back to their table.  (Y/N) huffed in anger as she stomped back to their booth, sitting down across from Jughead with her arms crossed.  Betty and Veronica broke down into hysterical laughter.

“Oh my god!” Veronica laughed.  “They’re like an old married couple!”

“Yeah they are,” Betty giggled.  “I still can’t believe they’re just like friends.”  They both shook their heads as they turned their attention back to (Y/N) and Jughead’s booth.  The pair had stood up, Jughead’s laptop tucked under his arm, and they exited the diner.

The next day at school, Betty and Veronica gave (Y/N) confused stares as she roamed the hallways sporting Jughead’s signature grey beanie.

“That cannot be Jughead’s,” Veronica denied, shutting her locker.  “I mean, there’s no way Jughead would actually give his beanie to her. He never takes that thing off.”  Betty gave her a doubtful look.

“I wouldn’t be surprised if he let her wear it,” Betty replied as they began to walk to the student lounge.  “He’s completely smitten with her.”

“He’s more smitten with his hat,” Veronica joked, both girls laughing.

Their suspicions were confirmed when they spotted Jughead in the lounge, raven locks flowing freely. He wore no beanie.  (Y/N) entered a few minutes later, still wearing Jughead’s beanie.  She smirked as she walked over to him.  Betty and Veronica turned to face them, not-so-subtly attempting to eavesdrop on their conversation.

“Can I please have it back?” they heard Jughead whine.  (Y/N) grinned and shook her head, putting her hands over the beanie in case Jughead tried to snatch it off her head.

“No.”

“I feel like an idiot without it on,” he complained.  “Everyone’s giving me weird looks.  And normally I don’t mind that, but I’m feeling quite vulnerable and exposed without my beanie.”

“A deal’s a deal, Juggie,” (Y/N) sing-songed, walking over to sit next to Betty on the couch. Jughead muttered under his breath and shook his head, but he followed (Y/N) and leaned against the armrest of the couch. The four friends chatted and laughed together, and Betty and Veronica couldn’t help but notice Jughead’s frequent glances at (Y/N) and the wide smile that never left his face.

Dad’s best friend // FP Jones

@Fuckkoffcourtney: Could you write an FP Jones imagine where the reader is Archie’s older sister (like out of college, 25 years old at least so it’s not weird) and her and FP have this secret thing going on bc if Fred finds out, hell would break loose and maybe Archie or Jughead walk in on them being cute af and instead of being mad, they’re just kinda like “I KNEW IT” and it’s just amazingly adorable??? Thank you so much!!!

Warnings: cussing (i think it’s legit the word slut lmao)

Word Count: 1,356

Characters: FP Jones, Jughead Jones, Archie Andrews, Fred Andrews, Pop Tate.

A/N: I’m so sorry that it’s been a while since my last imagine, but I’ve been job hunting lately. I’ll be posting more for you soon. I love you x

—-

Ever since moving back to Riverdale, only one person had occupied your thoughts.

FP Jones.

You weren’t really the one to go around dating everyone (very different to your brother, who in your opinion was a slut), but when you did have relationships, they usually lasted a good year or two. But this relationship that you had been building with your dad’s best friend and brother’s best friend’s dad, it was a bit complicated.

Like, if Fred found out, you and FP would both probably have the same fate as Jason.

“Can you two shut up?!” You groaned, opening Archie’s bedroom door, looking at the two boys sitting on the ground, playing the old Nintendo 64 (which was yours, but he had taken it from your room, obviously). “Jughead, what do you want for-“

“A burger and fries please.” He didn’t even look at you, making you roll your eyes at the younger boy’s obsession with Pop’s burgers. “Archie?” You asked, leaning against the door frame and raising an eyebrow at your ginger brother. “Same as Jughead, please.” He didn’t even look up at you, his fingers pounding away at the buttons.

You groaned once again, turning around to go to your bedroom. “And try not to break my controllers!” You called out, shutting your door and picking up your phone, dialling Pop’s number (which everyone in Riverdale surely must know off by heart) and placing the order. Once you slid your white Converse on, you rolled your jeans up and shrugged on a jacket and fixed your hair. You had gotten the darker locks from your father, unlike Archie, who got the ginger locks from your mother, whereas, you both had the same eyes, long lashes and pale complexion.

Tucking your phone into your pocket, you left your room and bounded down the stairs, holding onto the railing. “Hey there Vegas!” You grinned, kneeling down in the foyer of the house to pet the Golden Retriever who was obediently sitting at your feet. “I’ll take you for a walk later on, alright?” You smiled, kissing the Retriever’s head and walking into the kitchen. “Dad, I need money to pick up dinner. I’ve ordered yours and I’m about to go- Oh, hello, Mr Jones.” You stopped rambling as you saw the older male (other than your dad) in the kitchen, leaning against the counter with a beer.

“(Y/N).” FP nodded, letting his eyes rake up and down your body. “Remember. It’s FP or you don’t say anything at all.” He laughed, looking at your dad. You giggled a little, keeping your eyes on him, but snapping from the little daydream as your dad handed you money.

“I’ll be back in about 20 minutes.” You nodded, grabbing your bag, which hung on the hook, and taking the keys to the house. You looked over your shoulder, seeing your dad had moved out of your sight, so you looked FP in the eyes and bit your lip, giving him a sly wink and leaving the house.

-

“Hello, Pop!” You greeted as you walked into the diner, seeing the man that you had grew up around. He would always give you free onion rings or a free milkshake everytime your 5 year old self would walk into the diner, chubby cheeks and hair in two pigtails.

“(Y/N)! How was college, love? You’ve grown up so much!” He greeted, shuffling out from behind the counter and wrapping his arms around you. Pop gave the best hugs, and it just made you feel like nothing was wrong in the world.

“I passed with a master’s in Psychology, so that was fun, but other than that, I didn’t really do too much. I was mostly studying or travelling from New York to Riverdale.” You took a seat on the stool, biting your lip. “But now that I’m finished, I’m going to go job hunting. I hope I can find somewhere in Riverdale, or Greendale, but if not, I’ll have to move elsewhere, and I really don’t want to do that.” You tightened your ponytail.

“Love, I think you’d do amazing out in the Psych field, but if you need some quick cash, come work in the diner for a bit. You could do night shifts for me.” He laughed, sliding a strawberry milkshake in front of you. “I’ll go finish up your order.” Pop went out the back, but not before smiling at you when you called out a ‘thank you’.

-

“Hey! The onion rings are mine!” You shouted as Jughead tried to take the packet of onion rings. “I got you a burger and fries, so get away from my food!” You slapped his hand, sitting at the breakfast counter and huffing as you set your onion rings and burger in front of you. “That goes for you too, Archie.” You raised an eyebrow at your little brother, who was obviously trying to take the onion rings from you.

“I swear, you still act like you’re sixteen again and complaining when Archie threw up everywhere,” Fred laughed, making you look up at him with a raised brow. You shook your head, placing the food back in the paper bag and stuffing it in the fridge when you felt your phone buzz.

“I’ll be back later. I need to go deal with something.” You shrugged your jacket on again and left the house, making your way towards the side of town most people avoided.

-

“FP?” You said softly as you opened the trailer door, gently closing it behind you. “Iyou’re your text.” You swallowed a lump in your throat, hearing the shower running. You shook your head and made yourself comfortable on his sofa and put on a cooking show, focusing your eyes on the screen in front of you.

“Thought I heard you come in.” You looked up, seeing a dripping wet FP with a towel wrapped around his hips. You smiled, standing up and walking over to him. “You put on quite the façade with your father, don’t you?” He grinned, leaning down as you put your hand on his jawline, pecking his lips gently. “I missed you.”

“I missed you too,” you said softly, grinning as you pushed him towards his bedroom. “Now go get dressed. I’ll be on the couch.”

You sat down on the couch, watching FP disappear into his room. You could hear things moving around and a small thud, which must have either been the towel dropping on the ground or a pair of jeans falling from his grasp.

“Better?” FP’s voice travelled through the trailer as he walked out of his room, clad in sweat pants and a flannel. You nodded and held up the blanket, patting the sofa. “Come sit,” you had said sweetly, watching the older male make his way towards you. “I didn’t know if you wanted to watch a movie or anything, but I’ll let you pick.” You smiled, making yourself comfortable with your legs outstretched on FP’s lap.

-

“I KNEW IT!” You shot up, bumping your forehead against FP’s as you were awoken by another male voice, making your eyes wide. “Aren’t they adorable, Archie?” You saw a brunette and red head, rolling your eyes. FP groaned and looked at the two teenage boys who were standing at the door.

“I mean, yeah it is. But you two might wanna be a bit more careful and not leave the front door unlocked. Because if dad had walked in instead of us two, which almost happened, until we persuaded him to take a nap, you two would probably have ended up dead.” Archie swallowed, looking at the two of you, a small smile on his lips. “We’ve gotta go anyway, Jughead just came to pick up his stuff.”

“Have fun, you two. But not too much fun,” Beanie Boy winked, making you blush as you watched them leave. Jughead locked the door, smirking at the both of you and closing the door.

“Well, that went well.” FP laughed, leaning in to kiss you gently.

“Better than well,” you smiled, resting your forehead against his. “Much better.”

Blunt // Cole Sprouse

Can your write one like the only you just did were the reader is younger but this time she is dating Cole and it’s a secret for a while because he is older and everyone already wants him to be with Lili

Warnings: A freaking intense and scary Uno game, Dick related joke(s)?

Word Count: 1281

Characters: Cole Sprouse, KJ Apa, Trevor Stines, Casey Cott, Madelaine Petsch, Lili Reinhart, Camila Mendes, Ross Butler

A/N: I have used the name ‘Kairi’ (if you can guess where this is from, I will give you so much love) as the character you’re playing. It just makes a little more sense to me instead of having to write ‘y/n’ as your character. Because you are you, and your character is Kairi. xoxo

—- —-

“Uno!” You shouted, grinning as you placed down the draw four card you had been waiting to unleash on Cole, a grin across your lips. “Come on, boy. Pick the cards up!” You laughed, looking down at the last card you had left. “Oh, and I change the colour to… blue!”

Cole picked up his four cards, but you were too busy celebrating in your head to notice the smirk on his lips. “Draw four,” Cole muttered slyly, placing down the card, looking at you with a sinister look.

Your mouth dropped open and your eyes widened. “Are you serious!?” You exclaimed, slamming down the card and huffing, crossing your arms. You were a sore loser, to say the least. “So you’re allowed to put a draw four down, but I’m not?” Cole laughed, running his hands through his hair and taking a deep breath. “I think we need a break from this game. We’ve been playing for over two hours.”

You stood up, brushing off your pants and stretched, hearing the popping sounds coming from your back. You took a deep breath and looked outside of your trailer, seeing the sun was starting to set. “We’re still doing the Jughead and Kairi scene tonight, aren’t we?” You asked the raven haired boy, grabbing your coat before you followed him outside, walking besides him.

“Yeah. We have to meet the producers at around 11pm. Just so it’s dark enough.” Cole nodded, smiling down at you before making his way to where all the others were sitting.

Truth is, you and Cole had been dating for about 5 months now, but you both kept your feelings hidden away in public and left it all for behind doors. Both of your family knew, and were a bit hesitant at first, since you were 19 (turning 20) and Cole was 24. Your families eventually got used to it, and you got on along so well with Dylan. It was everything he wanted in a relationship.

But there was a flaw. And that was Lili.

Now, she wasn’t a flaw herself. You found her absolutely breathtaking. She was gorgeous. But everyone wanted her to be with Cole, and that’s why you both decided to keep the relationship under wraps.

You shoved your hands in your pockets, smiling as you sat down next to Madelaine and Casey, smiling as she slid her plate across to you, the sweet potato fries already making you drool. “Are (Y/N) and I the only ones that have a late night scene to shoot?” Cole asked, looking around the table. He looked at you, gave you a small smile and turned his attention to Ross.

“I’m sure Lili will wait up for you, Cole.” He laughed, making Lili blush. You ran your fingers through your hair, taking a deep breath and continued to share the plate of fries with Madelaine. You looked at Cole, who was giving a fake laugh.

—- —-

“I’ll be back, guys.” You stood up, announcing that you wanted to take a walk and revise some lines by yourself before your scene. “Need some company?” Cole asked, raising an eyebrow. “We are shooting this scene together, if you need some help or anything.” You shook your head, smiling softly before grabbing your phone from the table and walking off towards the entrance of the lot.

“Need anyone to go with you, Hon?” The night shift guard asked you, but you shook your head, smiling. “I’ll be fine, thanks Linda.” You continued your walk out of the set and took a deep breath, hands in pockets once again.

Your thoughts were startled by your phone ringing. You looked at the caller I.D and saw ‘Sprouse #1’ with the many emoji’s next to his name. You answered the phone, holding it to your ear. “What’s up?” You asked, the main street lit up by the night life of the town.

“Where are you? We have three hours to be on set. You need to get ready.” Cole didn’t even bother saying hello. You took a deep breath, looking over your shoulder. The lot wasn’t even that far away. You had been out for about 15 minutes.

“I’ll be back in another 15 or 20 minutes, Cole. I’m fine. I just need some space.” You sighed, biting your lip and turning around. You walked into a corner store, still on the phone to your co-star and boyfriend. “No, you’ll be back now, please. Just so I know you’re safe.” Cole had whispered the last part, and you could almost picture him looking around, making sure no one was listening.

“I’m just getting a smoothie, Cole. Give me a few minutes.” You sighed, ordering the smoothie and paying for it. You took a seat, phone still to your ear. “Now. There is something on your mind. What’s the matter?” You questioned, biting your lip.

“I want to tell them, (Y/N). I don’t want them to keep trying to make me date Lili. I love her to bits. But I’m going to pull an Archie Andrews here and say I don’t love her like that. She’s a friend and that’s what I want it to stay as.” He sighed, and you could hear his trailer door shut behind him. “I just love you so much and I don’t see why a five age gap is a big deal. I just want to tell them.”

You took a deep breath, getting up and thanking the person at the counter as they called you over for your smoothie. You walked out of the store, taking a sip. “Well, I’m on my way back now. So if you want to meet me at the front and we can do it together, I’ll be happy to.” You complied with him, a smile on your lips. Now you can finally post about him without having to use the ‘best friend’ hashtag.

—- —-

“Fancy seeing you here.” You grinned, seeing Cole in all his beauty. He smiled, turning around to walk besides you. The both of you walked slowly, a silence overcoming the both of you. “How do we do this?” You asked, looking at him. He looked at you, a small smile on his lips. “You’ll find out.”

You had been sitting back at the table for about 25 minutes now. You were due in hair and make-up in another 10, and Cole still hadn’t said anything about the two of you.

“Hey, hey guys. What do you call a 3.14 metre snake?” KJ spoke up, making you furrow your eyebrows at the stupid sounding joke. “It’s a pithon. Get it. Pi. No? Yes?” You had bursted out laughing at the simple, but so stupid maths related joke. “See! At least someone enjoyed my joke!”

“I’m sure Lili enjoys Cole’s snake,” Trevor had spoken up, making you look at him.

“I’m dating (Y/N).” Cole had said it so bluntly that it had almost slipped past. You looked at him, eyes widened at how quickly he had said it. He looked at you, shrugging before going back to his fries. Madelaine and Camila had looked at you, jaws dropped and eyes wide.

“What can I say, I’m into blunt guys.” You shrugged, a laugh coming from your lips as you stood up, leaving to get ready for your next scene.

Cole had gotten up, following you and wrapped his arms around your shoulders, making the rest of the cast chatter about the both of you.

“That was very blunt,” you commented, looking up at the brunette.

“I honestly had not planned that.” Cole opened the trailer door for you, a smile on his lips.

“I could tell.”
