Helping Veronica welcome the new Southside High to Riverdale High, which is how you first met Sweet Pea
Both of you immediately being attracted to each other, but neither of you doing much about it
Sweet Pea intimidated you in more ways than one, and he stayed very close to his Southside friends and didn’t venture outside of them
Meanwhile, Sweet Pea had reservations about you, as he did with everyone from Riverdale High and the Northside
Getting to know each other more because of how much time you both spend with Jughead
Jughead immediately picking up on the obvious tension between the two of you
And confronting the both of you individually about it
“Dude, what’s going on between you and y/n?” “Nothing. Mind your own business.” “Jeez, okay…”
Toni and Fangs quickly catching on too, and Sweet Pea always catching them with amused smirks on their faces whenever they see you and Sweet Pea interact
Jughead often leaving you and Sweet Pea alone whenever you all hang out, which gives you more time to get to know each other
Sweet Pea loving your sense of humor, and being surprised you’re not as uptight as he’d expect a Northsider to be
Him inviting you to hang out at Whyte Wyrm, and spending more and more time there with him
Jughead loving to tease you about your obvious feelings for Sweet Pea
“So… you and Sweet Pea, huh?” “Shut up, Jughead.” “Hey, come on, it’s so obvious!”
Sweet Pea always getting somewhat quieter and shyer around you, just because you make him so flustered
Feeling like you can open up to Sweet Pea about everything and anything, because he proves himself to be a surprisingly good listener
Using homework and studying as an excuse to hang out together
Jughead, Toni and Fangs practically begging Sweet Pea to ask you out
“It’s so obvious you and y/n like each other, just ask them out!” “Hey, hey, enough!”
Sweet Pea finding himself thinking about you almost every waking moment
And him only then beginning to realise he likes you way more than he’s willing to admit

Sweet Pea assumes Archie just peels through hobbies and his interests whenever something catches his eye. He’s confused when Archie eyes the Motorcycle nervously.

“Come on Andrews, you can drive a car, a bike should be no problem.” Archie shrug swinging his leg over and nodding to the back of the bike.

“Oh no, I’m not risking that; i’ll wait here, just do a loop.” Sweet Pea waits for something to happen. Nothing does but he can see the relieved sigh Archie blows through his teeth.

“Bikes make you nervous?”

“Not motorcycles.” Sweet Pea nods urging Archie on to continue.

“I’ve never told anyone this but; I can’t ride a bike.”

“You? Mr. I can do anything that catches my eye for more than two seconds? You can’t ride a bike?” Archie ducks his head shrugging.

“I mean i can i just fall and-”

“So you can’t ride it. Babe; i’m not making fun of you, it’s cute.”

“Easy for you to say Mr. Perfect.”

“Mr. Perfect?” Sweet Pea snorts and Archie nods.

“Yeah! Anything you do is something you’re able to do, it’s crazy how good you are ad adapting to things; it’s like you’re Darwin.”

“I appreciate the compliment babe, but that’s not true, here; something i’ve never shown anyone.” Archie frowns when Sweet Pea pulls his shirt up at the back, a small notched scar, a perfect imitation of a staple pressed into his side, pink and smooth on the rest of his tanned skin.

“So you got hurt?” Sweet Pea shrugs.

“What happened?”

“Fell.”

“Fell off? Onto something? Into a stapler? I need details or; hey you okay?” Archie pauses eyebrows knitting together.

“Sweets?”

“I live on my own because my parent’s thought it was easier to for everyone involved if I wasn’t in the house.”

“Really?” Archie cringes when Sweet Pea nods.

“It’s fine really; I mean there’s only so many times you can hit with the tough end of a belt before someone on the outside asks the wrong question at the right time and Reggie blabs to anyone who will listen.”

“Reggie? Reggie Mantle?”

“Yeah.” Sweet Pea grins stretching it as far as a lie can go.

“Why do you think Mantle started getting black eyes and bruises from ‘training’ all of a sudden? His shield ain’t there no more.”

“Wait your Reggie’s brother?”

“Half.” He sneers and Archie nods.

“Thank you for telling me; although i feel out done in the ‘life changing secret department now; with you having an entire family; and me just not knowing how to ride a bike.”

“Well we can’t all be Mr. Perfect; now can we?”

“We’re not-”

“It looks like we’ll be trapped here for a while; so just I dunno go find some candles in case the power goes out.”

“We’re not trapped!” Archie snaps and Sweet pea glares at the door.

“The fuck you call that rainstorm then?”

“Rain it’s just-”

“If you say rain.”

“This could be a lot worse you know that right?”

“Well yes; the rest of the serpents could be here.”

“You got shit to say about the Serpents?” Archie shrugs pulling a blanket around his shoulders.

“You still seem to talk shit about the bulldogs. so-”

“They’re not even a gang!”

“Yeah! thats a good thing Sweets! I’m friends with people who aren’t criminals!!”

“YOU WENT TO JAIL! WE BUSTED YOU OUT!!”

“And did you see me joining a gang?” Archie smirks nodding to Sweet Pea

“Take you shirt off and show me your fucking arm.” Sweet Pea glares and Archie scowls pulling his shirt off to show his Serpent tattoo. Sweet Pea smirks now as Archie sighs pulling he blanket back around him.

“Aww are you cold?”

“We’ll have to cuddle for warmth then.”

Seeing him come through the door and feeling your heart deflate at his exhausted, pinched expression
“Today was a fucking mess.”
Instructing him to take his jacket off so you have better grip on his shoulders and neck
Kneading your thumbs up, loosening the thick knots left from days of sleepless nights and real-world stresses (forget school, pea didn’t have the time to be stressed about school)
Listening to him ramble on about his day, sympathetically nodding and ‘mhm’ing in between his growls as his shoulders gradually relaxed
Offering to take it one step further; asking him to remove his shirt and lay on the bed face down
He looked up at you over his shoulder in pure confusion
“Just do as I say.” “You got it boss.”
Admiring the way his back muscles moved under his skin, watching his removed shirt fall to the floor silently as he crawled onto the mattress and hugged your pillow
Plucking the lavender essential oil you rubbed on yourself after a shower, then straddling his backside
Pouring the oil into your hand, rubbing them together and then slowly working them up his back
“Shit, it’s cold!” “Don’t be such a baby.”
Working through every knot, easing all of his muscles into deep relaxation
Definitely did not squander the opportunity to run your hands appreciatively over his arms
And once you noticed that the room had grown unreasonably quiet (sweet pea no longer groaned or hummed in satisfaction), his snores slowly began to fill the silence.
You continued to rub his back and shoulder down with the oil, regardless, smiling contently as you leaned over to press a kiss to his cheek, happy to see him so at peace after such a hard day.
