been screaming this since day one but crosshair should have just been a little stinker and not like. a full out fascist lmao

#crosshair#IM STILL UPSET LMAO#i’ll expand on this more thoroughly but#crosshair was introduced as a protag with a bad attitude and i would have loved to see his character develop in that vein#i wanted to know why he’s Like That or to see him interact differently w/ his squad vs other people#i wanted to see his Attitude create conflict and actually get him in trouble#and for him to get into situations where he’s legitimately in the wrong and needs to grow from that#but noooooo not only is he a villain but he isn’t even a good villain lmao#rishi outposts.txt

had a dream where in TBB, the empire was running messed up experiments on crosshair and were slowly removing parts of his body and replacing them with cybernetic components. by the time the bad batch rescues crosshair (cause in the dream he wasn’t acting out of his own volition) he’s actually “more cybernetic” than echo is and the whole reason they had crosshair say that “the techno union turned you into that” line was for dramatic irony given crosshair’s eventual fate

crosshair’s character would have been superior as a rude ass protagonist who cusses at the villains

throughout his season seven introduction, we see how crosshair’s role as the team’s marksman includes defensive offense. he surveys an area and uses an aggressive means to come to the defense of his allies. and i think crosshair’s personality worked a lot that way, too. crosshair is aggressive and confrontational with those outside his squad as a way of protecting his squad. ofc crosshair is overvigilant and his distrust of other clones is misplaced. but imagine a desertion scenario where it’s pretty much “the bad batch versus the world”? crosshair’s vigilance would not be misplaced here. it would have been so interesting to see crosshair aggressively defend his and his brothers’ interests, being unapologetic towards the empire or anyone else who represents a threat to them.
