Get to know my OCs: NPC relationships: Enver Gortash:

Sentry Ojeda:

Deep devotion, unhealthy codependent obsession, what Sentry would call true love. Sentry believes they are destined to be together whether in his Bhaalist chosen era where he believes he will carry Gortash's child and devour Enver alive to nourish it until dying by his side birthing the perfect heir to both Bhaal and Bane who will purge the world of life and rule over the wasteland that remains, or in his redeemed era where he believes if he can be redeemed, so can Enver and they can be together again and finally be happy and safe and have a family and a life. Sentry believes Enver is brilliant and has an important destiny and he will never love anyone more than him.

Wysp Silksong:

Wysp, in the main canon, was deeply in love with Sentry although he never told him. He also, having grown up in Menzoberranzan, knew what tyrants were like and hated the idea of living under one again. As a freedom loving follower of Elistraaee and someone who deeply and truly cares for Sentry, Wysp hated and distrusted Gortash. In the AU where Wysp lives as a Tav and Orin kills Sentry, Wysp falls for Karlach after mourning Sentry and as you can imagine, that only fuels his hate for Gortash.

Kroger of Creche K'liir:

As a man of science himself, Kroger can appreciate and respect Gortash's intelligence and ingenuity, but as a healer whose oath is to help and to do no harm, he is disgusted with him. Not to mention the pollution his creations cause and the illness it spreads. Kroger views him as misguided and a tragic figure, but nonetheless a danger to be rid of.

Jaina Thalassia:

His Iron Throne is an affront to her goddess, his foundry pollutes the waters near her mentor's temple, his leadership has the docks almost as inconvenient and poorly run as Neverwinter at this point, and of course he harmed one lover by threatening the lives of people Wyll cares about and another more directly by betraying Karlach. On top of that, Jaina being far too lenient and forgiving to people she cares about, since she views Sentry as a good friend, she refuses to hold Sentry accountable for his own actions and instead choses to believe Gortash used Sentry's love and loyalty to manipulate him. She would keelhaul this man if she could convince her father to put her in charge of the ship.

Jackal Silk:

Jackal heavily associates Gortash with Sentry, whom he hates and is jealous of. Of course a wealthy, powerful man is another thing Sentry has that he doesn't which he can lord over him and of course Enver treats Jackal like a repugnant stain on the bottom of his shoe just like every other shitty noble out there. Hells, he'd have tried to kill him long ago if he didn't know Orin would like that and she's the only person he hates almost as much as Sentry.

Octavia of Creche K'liir:

He's a brilliant inventor and thinker. True, he's not a very nice person and as a leader he'll probably be a problem, but she would much rather see him imprisoned in a place where she could visit and pick his brain for all the fascinating facts and information he has than see him dead. Maybe Sentry's right, maybe he can be rehabilitate. And if so, what a study that would be!

Sentry Ojeda:

Edgelord goth core art kid. Always has a sketchbook and pens, noise canceling headphones covered in edgy stickers, horror and band merch, hand-distressed clothing and big hair, kinda unintentionally smug and gate keepy about how obscure his favorite music and horror movies are, if you invite him to your tabletop game, he is edgy mcedgelord. Big fan of Jhonen Vazquez.

Wysp Silksong:

Indie musician, cat dad, cool guy working at the record store who always plays at coffee house open mic nights and pines after the guy he likes that he just can't confess to. Mostly keeps to himself and unironically posts how much better he likes his cats than people.

Kroger of Creche K'liir:

Super serious medical student. Over achiever in highschool, dangerously close to burnout, survives on triple shots of espresso and protein bars, this will all be worth it when he's a doctor. Family is everything and he is overworking himself trying to keep his family happy this whole time. Goes to the gym to stay in shape but also secretly likes to be around all the work out bros.

Jaina Thalassia:

Beach and books girlie. Surfing, reading on the beach, collecting shells, special interest is marine biology and nautical history, equally a crystals and goddess energy girl. Disability advocate as well because of her illness, good with kids and clowns on people who hate on kids online. Theatre kid

Jackal Silk:

The guy you cross the street to avoid, probably spent too much time on 4chan and reddit, toxic masculinity and cringe tough guy shit, trolls people constantly, tough guy copy pasta energy.

Octavia of Creche K'liir:

Plushie collector, monsterfucker, long info deep dives and getting caught up watching hours long video essays online, kinda a 'well actually'person, always taking notes, shitty student but full of obscure facts and information, infodumping.

Have some more kissing practice with Enver and Sentry. Their whole thing IS a fucked up situationship where Sentry's ultimate end game would be to eat Enver's flesh slowly while he's still alive to nourish their unborn child before being torn apart birthing an 'heir to both Bhaal and Bane', a world ending tyrant, but even so I do feel like they are genuinely in love and have feelings for each other as deeply as they are both capable after all they have been through. Also Sentry is like 5'10", he's just probably sitting on Enver's lap and leaning in in this pic.

Cishet men stop making Gortash analysis videos because you do a terrible job and clearly don't pay attention to the ingame text. Also stop making Orin videos because you're even worse at understanding her...you can keep Ketheric. This isn't even about Durgetash being canon or not, this is about understanding Bane in general, getting which jannath he slept with and why correct, and knowing who the Zhentarim even are...like...bruh....and then on the Orin side of things centering Sarevok, again not reading the ingame text, and oh my god have you even finished a durge playthrough?

Sentry Ojeda:

For a time from ages 16 to the time he was in his mid-early 20s and got tadpoled, he was a loyal Bhaalist eager to please father with his art and his Murders. But before that and then when he traveled with the party, he did truly follow Ilmater. Although he distrust Gods in general, Ilmater has been patient, gentle, and understanding with him just as his adoptive mother who was a devoted paladin of Ilmater did. Ilmater sees Sentry as an exemplary redemption story and an ideal reflection of his teachings.

Wysp Silksong:

A devoted follower of Elistraaee since he was little. Born as the eldest and favored daughter of his family, his priestess mother encouraged him to worship Lolth, but secretly Wysp prayed to Elistraaee instead and practiced music as well as dreaming of one day escaping Menzoberranzan and living as the man he truly was. When his mother found out he was presenting as a man and worshipping Elistraaee, she disowned him and had him tortured and disfigured with ritual scars, intending to have him killed, but with his goddess' help, he escaped and carved out a new life on the surface as a bard.

Kroger of Creche K'liir:

Started out as a loyal follower of Vlaakith, a war priest and ghustil in training. He followed his queen loyally and lived up to every standard his leaders demanded, until he and his sisters were declared H'sharlak and banished. He then became friends with Isobel and also commiserate with Shadowheart after Shar abandoned her and ultimately he became a Selunite.

Jaina Thalassia:

Born into a devoted family of Umberlee worshippers and blessed with Umberlee's magic as a storm sorceress. She was meant to become a priestess like her mother, but instead after a near death experience as a little girl, she became Umberlee's chosen champion instead. Her belief in her goddess is strong and she honors the tradition of her island and her family.

Octavia of Creche K'liir:

She's not a big fan of deities or religion, but if she had to choose one, likely Oghma or Gond because of her love of discovery and innovation. She might have once considered praying to Mystra before she met Gale, but now she couldn't imagine a god she hates more.

Jackal Silk:

Mostly loyal to his father, Bhaal, but he also resents him for favoring Sentry, Orin, and Tomi, back in Menzoberranzan he briefly flirted with the idea of worshipping Vhaerun, but his ego really won't allow him to deign to worship Gods for the most part.

Get to know my OCs: relationships to NPCs: Raphael and Haarlep:

Sentry Ojeda:

Hated Raphael pre tadpole because of what he had heard from Enver, hates him post tadpole because somewhere deep down that feeling is still ingrained and also how Raphael treats him and Astarion reminds him of the abusive adoptive parents he had when he was little before being adopted into The Church of Ilmater.

Jackal Silk:

Actually kind of attracted to him because of his power and position in the hells as well as his control over his subordinates. He would very gladly work for Raphael if he could be certain he was the best, strongest option.

Jaina Thalassia:

Finds him to be an incredibly annoying pest. A ship's captain must know many things and so her father is adept in the study of law and legal dealings, as his potential successor, Jaina is schooled in these things to. Raphael makes bad deals. Stupid deals. And Jaina just does not have time for it. Also he's a cad, much like the upper city men she's deal with in bars and at plays while she's lived in Baldur's Gate.

Wysp Silksong:

Raphael is an annoyance and a disruption, same as he was back at Sharess' Caress. Wysp has zero respect and even less time for him and his bloated ego.

Octavia of Creche K'liir:

His personality is garbage, certainly, but the things she could learn about The Hells and its hierarchy from him! If she can just stroke his ego enough, she could learn things no one else ever thought to ask about.

Kroger of Creche K'liir:

Kroger knows when someone is talking out their ass and offering you a bargain too good to be true. Raphael is no friend of his or the party and he is sure to make it so everyone can see that.

Alyce is outwardly the perfect little diplomat and princess, she is a beautiful, intelligent young woman who frequently attends political summits with her father and grandfather, but secretly she has a warlock pact and fights devils by night for her patron who she believes is an archfey but is actually a demon. She has this pact because her mother is very ill and she's desperate to save her no matter the cost.

Edward, her little brother, is only eleven years old and because his mother is ill and his father and sister are so important and so busy, he often feels left behind but he often plays in the park and dreams of one day being a hero like his father. He knows his sisters secret but he keeps it for her because it's kind of a bonding thing.

Lucian is a trans man like his father. I headcanon that because Sentry is made of Bhaal's flesh and not technically born, his womb will only ever produce carbon copies of himself give or take a few features like eye color or face shape. He and Oso are twins, but Oso is a cis woman and a powerful, well respected druid like her father Halsin, whereas Lucian insisted on living with Astarion when he was old enough because Astarion spoiled him with nice clothes and toys and taught him fun things like lock picking, archery, and sneaking. He lives his life as seemingly just the son of an important noble whose father has a 'mysterious sickness caused by the sun' so Lucian conducts the household business for Astarion when Sentry is traveling or staying with Halsin. He is also Alyce's best friend and spy master.

Oso is very much a papa's girl when it comes to Halsin. She is a Circle of the Moon druid like him, prefers her bear form like him, and helps him with the Orphanage and homestead. Sentry is very proud of her for doing the best at concealing her Bhaalspawn nature. He personally still gives in and can be edgy sometimes, but he still respects deeply that Oso can fully overcome it.

Teela came to Baldur's Gate to find out who her father was after she had been adopted by a pair of Gnomish Gondians in Waterdeep when Sentry first disappeared and Gortash sent her away for her own safety when she was just a baby. Her parents didn't know what Gortash actually did to the Gondians in Baldur's Gate and believed that he was a heroic genius inventor who lost his life saving the city. Teela ends up meeting Alyce in Baldur's Gate and getting a crush on her and also meeting her father Sentry and accidentally helping him revive Gortash. She is an accomplished artificer herself and has a clockwork pet raccoon named Trashcan.

A take on Fatal Frame: Crimson Butterfly but with Orin and Sentry watched over by Papa Bhaal. Yes, Fatal Frame is my constant special interest/hyperfixation but BG3 is my main fandom right now. In Fatal Frame 2, which is my favorite, a pair of twins perform The Crimson Sacrifice Ritual where one strangles the other to create a Crimson Butterfly shaped bruise on the neck of the Dead sibling which hopefully summons a spirit butterfly which symbolizes allegedly that the dead twin is in the realm of the Dead guarding the gate there while the living twin protects it in this world and they have become one as a gate guardian. Sentry is actually Orin's 'older brother' not a twin, but it was still fitting. I won't say the scene this is based on as it's a major spoiler and though it's an older game, it's really worth playing, watching a Let's Play, or listening to a lore overview on your own.
