Oh yeah, I almost forgot to share this here lol
Did some more work on Rowan’s design. I think I’ll still tweak the coloration a bit more, but I like the direction things are going. (Mostly I think I want to add more brown and incorporate the red in at least one other location)
Might work on his combat outfit and battle puppets next?

He’s Rowan, elemental master of wood
He was originally from the city, but moved out to a small village as a teen where he became a toy maker and also serves as a protector for the people there
The hand-carved wooden toys he makes are very popular with the village children
When the village is endangered, he protects it by fighting alongside wooden puppets he made
