A long time ago I had a yearning for some domestic Silver and Flint growing old together and that of course immediately took my thoughts to @vowel-in-thug’s amazing “st. augustine is that way” aka “the orange verse” and here we are :) Not any exact scene from the fic, but Silver is having a bath again and muses about cutting his hair to Flint’s horror.

What if after the shipwreck Flint’s shirt was so ruined that he had to borrow Silver’s clothes...

Flint: Give me this one instead! It will fit me better. Silver: A captain should wear a coat. I’m just a cook. Flint: Neither of us is part of the crew at the moment! Silver: Dress for the job you want? Flint: You actually want to be a cook?! Silver: Come on, Flint. If you don’t want my coat, then be without! (Dufresne in the background: STOP CALLING HIM “A CAPTAIN!!!” *Silver was the one who tore his previous shirt (to get to the wound)...

Tbh, I cannot remember what exactly made me think of this scenario and the logic is a bit weird here, but I had a lot of fun drawing it xD Please, do not repost elsewhere.

“A bad day, huh?” Captain Flint and his badass pirate coat with magnificent sleeves get accidentally caught on a doorknob again. Sometimes it just feels like the whole world is against you, you know? Good to have some friends around then.

I really like his costumes and those fabulous sleeves... and his friendship with Eleanor! :D That beautiful green door of her office was another excuse for this drawing. Please, do not repost elsewhere :)

Was it on the Walrus? In Miranda’s cellar? In Flint’s magical book pockets? I hope James still has the book, no matter how. Drawn mainly between 4.09 and 4.10 and I am so sorry for making this “joke”. Also R.I.P. Walrus and her crew ;_;
