hello i am here to inform you all that peter, sirius and james literally canonically walked around for a month with mandrake leaves in their mouths x
remember how the only time harry was able to hear his parents’ voices as a teen was when he was confronted by a dementor? and he couldn’t produce a proper patronus because a part of him so desperately wanted to hear his parents’ voices, even though he heard them screaming, about to be murdered. and harry realised that the only way he’d be able to fight off the dementors was by forcing himself to accept that his parents were dead and that he’d never see them again, so he tried, but he couldn’t do it. remember when a thirteen-year-old kid had to deal with that shit :)

i am supremely pleased with this, it’s not even that these are my perfect fancasts for james and lily, but they’re a fuckload better than the movies, THEY DIED YOUNG, THAT WAS PART OF THE WHOLE TRAGEDY OF IT, THEY DIDN’T DIE IN THEIR EARLY FORTIES AFTER HAVING LIVED MOST OF THEIR WHOLE LIFE AND THEN FINALLY SETTLING DOWN TO HAVE A KID, oh no i made myself sad, but sigh, i have a lot of feelings about the marauders and lily (via laurellas)
