This war has taken our livelihoods and our factories and now we are struggling to survive. I had a carpentry shop for making furniture, which was my source of income to support my family and was a source of security for my life, but now it has been destroyed and all the hard work of the years was lost in a short moment.

I had a home to shelter my family and children, and the occupation also destroyed our only shelter, and the streets became a bed for my children.

Each of my children had a dream to fulfill. My eldest daughter Dima dreamed of becoming a doctor to treat children, but now I don't know if I will be able to fulfill her dream. My second son Aboud dreamed of becoming an architect to build the country and what the wars destroyed. The third dreams of becoming a mechanical engineer, and the fourth dreams of becoming a painter to color our lives with the most beautiful drawings. These were all our dreams before the war, but the war destroyed everything.

Anas is severely depressed and traumatized.

You are probably familiar with @anas-kamal's posts where he explains his people's stance on some issues, most notably the post where he extends love to the LGBT community.

But does he constantly have to work to debunk myths that the racists have perpetuated about his people to be worth your support? Imagine your life being on the line, and having to make a case to the world that it's worth saving, over and over, only to fall on uncaring ears. My heart breaks for him.

Anas is a wonderful human being and one I'm lucky to count as a friend.

With the genocide putting all his dreams and efforts to finish studying medicine on halt, he currently spends his time cheering up the children of Gaza, coming up with activities for them to keep their spirits up and entertain them.

But Anas himself has been suffering a lot in terms of mental health recently. He feels like all his work towards his career is lost. He feels like his life is over. He feels trapped. He is traumatized from witnesssing atrocity after atrocity. He has become sickly and despondent.

I could try to reassure him all day and attempt to keep his spirits up the way he so kindly does to the children of Gaza, but in the end, actions are worth much more than words, and right now the actions desperately needed are sharing his campaign and donating to him so he can continue to survive and to keep up with day to day necessities.

A third of UK bird species have declined since the 1990s, 97% of the UK's wildflower meadows have been lost since the 1930s, raw sewage is constantly being pumped into our rivers and seas with agricultural slurry also causing massive damage to rivers, three quarters of Britain's hedgehogs have been lost in the past 20 years and UK butterfly numbers are at their lowest ever, a sign of impending ecosystem collapse. Plus people in Britain are the most disconnected from nature in Europe.

Not to mention over populated deer destroying what little is left due to a lack of predators, 60 million non-native birds released for sport shooting every year, plus huge amounts of wildlife crime, including large numbers of birds of prey being shot/poisoned.

There is nothing beautiful about a sterile, ecologically damaged landscape that contains nothing but sheep and deer. Don't comment on something you clearly know nothing about. I live in England. I can see first hand just how dire the situation is.

I feel like I'm the only trans woman in my town and I'm so fucking lonely it gnaws at my soul.

As a kid, you have a hard time making friends bc you dont fit in with they guys, or like anything they do, and you're socially removed from the girls bc of sexist standards.

When you transition, you lose family because of the "choice" you made. It always feels like a simple thing in concept. "I am an X, not a Y" should be an easy thing to digest and respect. But for many it's not.

When you transition, you're avoided in public. People avoid eye contact, so you learn to watch the ground. In smaller communities, you learn you don't fit anywhere anymore since there are so few people that respect you, sometimes simply because of how you look.

Do you think we don't want friends? that we want to lose family? that we want to spend all day, isolated in our bedrooms with only online friends to talk to?

Is it any question why Uhaul transbians are a thing? We desperately seek affection because so few give it to us, so when we find someone, we move in to ease all of that loneliness we've experienced.

Why do you think we're either soft, gentle, and everflowing with love, or rock hard, punk, and careful with who we interact with? It's because we chose to either give what we lack, or be selective with sharing what we've learned to value most.
