1) PCOS is a hormonal disorder not a chromosomal disorder. You are likely not intersex.

the OP was explicitly not about scammers' actions being always correct and good. it was about the scambaiters I'm thinking of as:

1. plying a Victorian idea of "criminality" as a personality trait or diseased state, rather than understanding criminalised actions as taking place in a specific context

2. native English speakers who are performing revilement of these 'criminals' for an implied audience of native English speakers

3. not discussing, considering, or seeming to know or care about the colonial context here; and

4. making money off of doing so, because they and their audiences see the distress they are causing as entertainment.

This doesn't negate anything Najia said above (and in fact amplifies it) but I'm reminded of the long racist Internet tradition of getting "trophies" from (especially Nigerian) scammers. Watching scambaiters on YouTube today it is difficult to come away feeling as if it's much more than the same pasttime with half a fresh coat of paint. While looking into it a little while ago I found this article which I recommend if you can stomach it:

This is absolutely something that was and is done by older lgbtq+ people and flamboyant people during protests and marches to normalize the fact that men can have breasts, that men can look like anything and still be men.

It reminds me of how trumeds like to claim that the community founders would have hated people like me, but trumeds are the ones who would have hated the community founders.
