Can we all stop pretending Tim Drake had a bad relationship with his parents like correct me if I’m wrong but to my knowledge they really cared for each other and he was devastated when they died 😭
#they were absent but not neglectful Tim had care takers and boarding school#which most people would not consider bad parenting#they seemed to make an effort to spend time with Tim whenever they are around him#but it’s also insinuated their marriage issues were getting worse and they were trying to spare Tim the worst of it#but were definitely not cruel or disproving of him#if anything they have ridiculously high expectations and opinions on him#after Janet’s death Jack could get toxic at times but it was always out of misplaced worry#Jack is just a emotionally constipated control freak like Bruce but he has no control#but Tim very much loved and was loved by his parents#they were just classic 90s business people who were written before the normalization of cellphones
