• Watching you from the corner of his optics, he tries to understand why you’ve yet to get upset with him for keeping you against your will. Wonders if maybe you just genuinely don’t mind his company. It’s not enough to ease his guilt by any means, but he wants to pretend it’s true. Feeling like he should just ask, but worried about shattering the peace between you two. As awful of him as it is, he enjoys your company, having someone to talk to that doesn’t just see a Prime. They all see a symbol, not him. Even if it’s against your will, it’s nice to have someone just talk to him freely.

• Watching you move about his desk, looking around with open curiosity, he can admit that you’re not what he expected. Especially after Prowl had complained that humans were pit spawned abominations sent just to torment them. A bit overdramatic, but he’d honestly expected some resentment from you. Not for you to ask him questions about his day and himself, because hardly anyone ever bothered except Ratchet. Like when he’d become a Prime, he’d become something other and unapproachable. Intimidating. That you want to know, spreads through him in a warm rush. “Careful,” he murmurs, reaching out a servo to gently nudge you away from the edge when you get too close.

Mostly just running errands. Might play Destiny 2 for a bit- I’m pretty boring 🤣

• Freedom, it’s something he believes in not just for his Autobots, but for all living beings. And yet, he’s had to take yours away to protect the surviving Autobots. Wants to believe that if the humans that know about them are allowed to leave, that they’ll keep that precious secret. He just can’t risk it. There’s so few of them left and without knowing if there are any survivors left on Cybertron, this might be it. The last of his people looking to him for safety, but that doesn’t ease the guilt. Or the burden of that decision.

Sure! Also, I just accidentally found out that a single post can’t have over 100 links in it by accident with my Masterlist... Guess I get to par that down to the first chapters of everything and add actual previous/next links to the individual posts to navigate within a storyline.

And I’ve had a few people speculating about it and tried to make it a bit clearer now on the masterlist: the IDW stuff is all one big continuity with Lost Light and the random kink snippets clearly separated as alternate takes/AUs now.

• “You’re going to give them a heart attack when they come to if you don’t stop looming like that,” Ratchet mutters and Optimus looks up trying to decide if his old friend is joking. Given the frown, Ratchet’s serious and he’s not sure what to make of that. He’d known humans were fragile, but your heart can just stop? From fear? “They’re a little banged up, but fine,” Ratchet adds as Optimus stretches out a servo to touch your still form and then hesitates. You’re just so tiny, he’s not sure he can touch you without breaking you. “Who are you giving this one to?”

• Sun baking his alt mode, it’s easy to lose himself in the hum of his tires. None of his advisors would approve of him sneaking out, but sometimes the weight of all their expectations and hopes drags at him. Becomes a burden rather than an honor, that errant thought chased with shame, because they expect him to be a symbol. Need him to be infallible and they forget that he’s no different than they are, Matrix or not. He’s only one Cybertronian and they can’t seem to understand that sometimes all he can feel is that weight bearing down on him.
