“Me, Grimlock, bring holiday cheer.”
Grimlock vs Back | Transformers Robots in Disguise | | Hasbro | 2016 | Notes: OMG! This is a fun set. This is probably the best RiD Grimlock to date in terms of transform, size (I prefer my TFs around this size), and fun. His armor suits him and the combined mode makes sense and looks like something Grimlock would use. Plus, it gives him a Beast Wars Megatron homage. Back (what an odd name - does he have a brother named Forth?) is an interesting design, but his legs can pop a gear tooth, making his transform a pain and makes him unable to stand properly. Of these verses sets, this is my favorite - though I don't have Bumblebee (and may skip him because Bumblebee).
Today’s mail is sure to keep me busy as I clean up my Dinobots for these Reprolabels and build Starscream (not necessarily in that order).

Notes: Grimlock here is a lot of fun. My sample, however, likes to fall apart at the robot legs/dino tail. I’m not sure why. The bricks just don’t stick together as well as they should. Surprisingly, the transform is very close to the original toy. Another recommended purchase.
Star Wars the Force Unleashed Micro Machines found at Goodwill. Kre-O Galvatron Factory Battle found at Ross.
I traded some Botcon/TFCC toys for 4/5 of the original Dinobots. If you’re wondering about the shoebox, that’s how you transport reptiles, like turtles. Don’t worry, there are holes in the box.
“Don’t make me, Grimlock, destroy you.” - rare archival footage of an audition from Empire Strikes Back.
He-Man and Grimlock at thrift.
