every day someone treats romans and greeks as interchangeable societies when not even greeks and other greeks are interchangeable and let’s not even begin on the fact there is a ~1000 years timespan that is also somehow getting ignored here
Peter growing up lonely, knowing his dad is out there somewhere.
Unfriendly reminder that the night of the staking was supposed to be Arthur and Lucy's wedding night :)
i absolutely fuckin hate it here
This is why you gotta show love and comment on old fics. You never know when the author may drop another chapter
I realize that out of universe, it's because Jaime Alexander was busy with other projects, but it's so bizarre to me they'd go to the trouble of bringing Sif back for two essentially pointless cameos that feel more insulting to the character and a waste of JA's time than anything.
In Loki, once again she's just there to humiliate Loki and make him look weak, cowardly, and cruel and hurt him over and over. Once that's done, she's never seen or mentioned again.
Then in L&T, she shows up to say some exposition at Thor (and loses an arm??? That's horrifying!) and is never mentioned or seen until the very very end. Where has she been all this time? Why wasn't she involved in the battle against Thanos? Or during TR? Again, I know out of universe there's an explanation for this, but in universe it just doesn't seem to be in keeping with the Sif we saw in Thor 2011 or TDW to just up and vanish when Asgard and it's civilians really needed her. Hell, her and Thor's closest friends were brutally killed with no mention at all.
IDK, it just saddens and frustrates me that such a well-liked character like Sif who had so much untapped potential was brought back only to be wasted and forgotten the moment she was no longer needed, either to humiliate one character or get the plot going for another. She was an important person to Thor and the other movies and I hate to see her just thrown out.
I keep thinking about how Fortress Inquisitorius isn’t shielded and the show made a point of bringing it up and I keep thinking about that line of entombed Jedi and Force-sensitives, I keep thinking about Jedi Master Tera Sinube and his body being held there. I’m sure it’s a great tool for intimidating anyone they walk down that long hallway, showing them that there’s no mercy here, this is what will happen to you if you don’t bend to our demands and join the Empire, even the children will be tortured and broken if they resist. But what if it’s more than that? I keep looking at that terrible, awful hallway, thinking about Obi-Wan having to stare at the face of an old friend, one who had been around for hundreds of years in the Jedi Order, he probably had at least one class taught by Master Sinube. How terrifying and grisly the whole thing is.
And how it reminded me of something else. Of one of the most horrific things the Empire ever did:
They used Luminara Unduli’s body as bait for any Jedi who might sense her and try to rescue her. The Grand Inquisitor himself lures Kanan and Ezra in, when they’re looking for her to be Ezra’s teacher, and it’s not until they’re face to face with her corpse that they understand that her Force presence is being used to trick them, to make them think there’s another Jedi in the galaxy that they can help and be helped by. Obi-Wan doesn’t sense them until he’s face to face with them because his Force abilities are weakened from a decade of disuse, but how many other Jedi are out there, sensing something of Master Sinube or a Jedi youngling that they want to help? How many other Jedi would mount a rescue mission on Fortress Inquisitorius because they thought a Jedi was in need of them and they could use the help of another Jedi in the galaxy? It’s so tempting, there’s not even any shields, the Inquisitors think they don’t need them, we can do this, we can help a Jedi! But it’s all lies, it’s the Empire using the dead bodies of Jedi to trick more of them into coming right to them, that torture chamber right down at the end of that very hall. And by the time you’re close enough to realize what’s truly off about their presence, it’s too late. There’s an entire Fortress surrounding you.
Loss of a Friend

This hit hard because I can really relate to that....
I need a hug
Josie this was so sad but so beautiful!!!!!
The night of Mirabel’s gift ceremony
Her older cousins and siblings have been hyping her up for the past few days, awaiting the new gift to be blessed on to Mirabel.
Camilo and Luisa have been bouncing ideas back and forth about what the littlest Madrigal’s gift will be.
The whole family, aside from Abuela, stands with Mirabel behind the curtain before the ceremony begins. Luisa lifts her baby sister into a big hug. Tía Pepa tears up at her little niece growing up. Dolores signals the family and plants a small kiss on Mirabel’s forehead. Julieta and Agustín give their beloved daughter final hugs and kisses, telling her they will be waiting at her door.
Bruno remains, Mirabel’s tiny hand grabbing on to his ruana tightly. He looks down and sees his niece’s eyes suddenly filled with unease. She quietly voices her fear of her gift not being helpful, of not making her family proud.
Though he understands her fears, his own gift becoming more of a curse in the past few years, but kneels down to her level, gently taking her little hands into his.
Bruno reassures her, that no matter what, she will make her family proud, even if he doesn’t believe it about himself. He realizes that Mirabel must have noticed her tío spending less time about in the village, distancing himself from his gift. He doesn’t believe that the miracle would bestow another gift like his upon sweet Mirabel.
Mirabel makes her way through casita with the townspeople watching in awe. Up the stairs, she sees her parents, holding each others’ hands, watching lovingly upon their baby daughter. And there’s Abuela, with the proudest smile, and Mirabel’s heart swells in pride and nervousness, wanting nothing more than to live up to the miracle.
And…
The door disappears. The golden light fades away when Mirabel puts her hand on the doorknob.
What had she done wrong? She looks to her Abuela, confused and hurt, wondering what happened? Why didn’t she get a gift.
Realizing what has happened, Agustín scoops up his little girl before anyone can see her tear flooded eyes.
There’s a commotion, Mirabel can tell, but the sound of her own heartbreak drowns out everything. Her parents are hugging her close, assuring her that everything will be okay, and that it is alright for her to cry.
It will be okay. It will be okay. Something must be wrong. We can fix it. It will be okay.
The whole family is heartbroken for their Mirabel, and a gentle rainstorm covers the entire town.
Her sisters and cousins try to cheer her up, only to miserably backfire when Camilo tries shifting into his favorite cousin and Isabela blooms a crown of flowers in Mirabel’s hair, and Mirabel bursts into tears.
After a few hours, her parents leave her to sleep, her tears having subsided a little bit ago. They each plant a kiss on her head, promising her a better day tomorrow.
It’s dark out now. The soft pitter-patter of rain and the distant calls of the rainforest wildlife filling in the night.
Mirabel lies wide awake, staring at the opposite side of the room. The room she had shared with cousin Camilo only a few months ago. Camilo who now had a gift, and his own room to match, something she was not worthy of having.
There’s a gentle knock on her door, and after a pause, she hears an ever familiar ‘Mirabel?’
The door to the nursery opens with a quiet creak, and her tío Bruno walks in. She sits up in her bed, and he makes his way over, kneeling down in front of her.
Mirabel leans forward with a choked sound, her tears returning. She asks him what she did wrong. Bruno can feel his own tears coming back, and smooths his niece’s hair down as he hugs her.
You did nothing wrong, he whispers. It is okay.
It’s all he can say.
He can’t tell her about his now shattered vision.
He can’t tell her just how scared his mother is.
He can’t tell her she will never see him again.
After a while, she has fallen asleep, and Bruno tucks her back under her blankets. He plants a kiss on her forehead, removing his hand from her’s.
She won’t remember this. She won’t remember the comfort of her family. But she will remember how broken this night made her feel.
But there’s nothing else he can do, and Bruno closes the nursery door for the last time.
When she wakes, her tío is gone and nowhere to be found.
Dolores receiving her gift
Idk about you but I'm NOT AT ALL emotionally ready for the moment Marinette is gonna ask Adrien why does he believe that Gabriel is a good guy after all he's done to them and Paris and everyone and Adrien says "this is why. This is the only thing that proves to me that this man is still good and that he does care about me. This is why I don't want to let him go" and he shows her that blue scarf with a weak smile on his face and she doesn't know what to say
Mai and Zuko are the most physically affectionate canon couple, they kiss more times than kataang and sukka put together, they very clearly adore each other, and yet their relationship is the one that is constantly belittled and devalued in fandom.
Keep thinking about how the encanto director said that Bruno was already withdrawn from the family before he disappeared BUT ALSO that he always loved them, specially in reference to his nieces and nephews. It’s so..
Because he was isolated for 10 years, and withdrawn for EVEN LONGER!! But despite that he never loved any of his family members any less. He cared for them so so much even though he was alone.
How do you think it felt then, for Mirabel (who barely remembered him from before his isolation) to listen to him, to tell him she was going to bring him home. Or for Antonio (who had never even met him before) to offer his room and his stuffed toy to help him with his nerves. And then even beyond that when his sisters welcomed him home with an embrace, when his family was his family again.
Bruno loved his family so much, even when he stopped allowing himself to be a part of it. He had resigned himself to living that way for the rest of his life if it meant that they would be happy. So. I don’t know if he had ever expected all that unconditional love to ever be returned. But it was.
you know what after studying adrien's bathroom for no reason I've come to a conclusion.
she's facing the door then turns around then tears up and collapses and I'm betting they're gonna parallel this but make it angsty.
and this time chat is gonna be the one to pull away first and leave.
hey you know what if I'm going to clown let me do it properly.
maybe this is the scene he gives up his miraculous and the door is there to protect his identity and ladybug can't do anything but break down.
even though i can't really tell the location in these pics and I'm pretty sure it's not adrien's room but logic was never an option.
I don't feel bad dragging the awakening movie bc it has a budget higher than spiderverse and uses it to produce those alien faceapp babies disguised as our favorite characters meanwhile the main show can't even afford to give adrien pajamas or a kitchen
Sure, I’m super happy we got Glaciator 2′s “Minou, Minou, Minou!”
I just can’t wait for the softly murmured, post-reveal MariChat “minou, minou, minou” as she gently pets his hair while they’re both cuddled up together, cat-napping together in the chaise in her room after yet another late night fighting off his father.
why the fuck is famous teen model adrien agreste crying in a public bathroom
