some person on tiktok just trying to vent: im an adult who has never been pursued romantically or even hit on or complimented. this makes me insecure because society places such a strong emphasis on romantic and sexual relationships so i feel like i am missing out on a fundamental aspect of life. it also makes me feel singled out and unattractive because most people i know get complimented on their appearance and i have never experienced that before.

somebody with no ability to read the room who also very much cannot relate: ummm just try loving yourself maybe? relationships aren’t even a big deal you’re not missing out on anything 🙄 i get called hot like seven times a day but it honestly doesn’t even improve my self esteem that much. true confidence comes from within #girlboss

Sadly, I can believe every single one of these.

I had a lady ask for an Americano no espresso. She got very upset with me when I have her hot water

I remember having a woman ask me for a cappuccino once. I went and made it for her, exactly how a capp ought to be made, and she took the lid off and got fucking livid when she discovered there was foam.

I explained what a cappuccino is, and she said “No, it’s milk and coffee! It’s supposed to be VERY LITTLE FOAM.” And I had to explain again what a cappuccino is, and then I explained what a latte is, which is what she actually wanted.

In the most deadpan voice this bitch could muster, after I explained she just went “oh.”, took her remade latte and fucked off. I have never wanted to yeet someone through a wall so bad in my entire life.

I just left food service hell and can confirm people are like this. I’ve gotten the “quesadilla no cheese” more than once.

One time our bartender came back with the most defeated look on her face and asked us to heat up the customers iced tea…

“So… they want tea with lemon?”

“No, they want their iced put in the microwave until it’s hot”

If you think people need to be better about having hobbies, you HAVE to make sure you’re not ready, at any moment, to make fun of those hobbies.

Yes, even the cringe ones.

the only two hobbies are knitting and Playing An Instrumence the others are "cringe"

Anyway young and insecure people have a harder time finding what they like to do because when they actually like something, people are hostile about it...just be kind
