I feel like pissing off a community today. Queenie would you call solangelo abusive?

Despite all my hate of Solangelo I would ultimately not call it abusive. It holds the potential to be such, but as it is (at least canonically) it is not. Fanon... well that can lean more towards abuse and control than canon does but it varies greatly.
Despite that it is not abusive, for it need not be abusive to have problems, it is a toxic relationship by my beliefs.
I have given many an example to this, but there are several that stand out in my memory.
- Will outright dismissing Nico’s trauma
- Will ordering Nico to listen to him regardless of Nico’s own wishes
- Will keeping knowledge that Nico had a right to know from him
- Will informing other’s of Nico’s mental health in detail without Nico even being present
- Will literally being his doctor while dating him (big ethical no no)
Yes, there are many toxic elements to their relationship, though ultimately it runs just shy of abuse.
Truly it hurts me that this ship, with all it’s problems, is one of the most popular in the fandom. It’s getting it’s own book focusing on it- and yet I doubt that the things that are genuine issues (bad medical practices, dismissal of trauma, ignoring boundaries) will be properly handled.
I dread it.
