I really do love that people have legitimately always just been people. Like how many angry breakup texts have their been that end with “Come get your stuff or I’m donating it to goodwill”? People never change.

sorry for romanticizing the mundane but the fact that laughter is infectious is so incredible to me. like yeah it's just a reaction to stimuli but the way it feels to hear someone laugh and feel yourself compelled to share that joy is really something. and it's so simple and requires no skill but it's so special and important to me.

This reminds me of when I went to my college orientation not too long ago. Me and my orientation group were sitting around a table at “lunch”, trying to get to know each other, and my friend (who went to hs with me) made a joke about how any time I said the school name, I’d say “blank college” instead of just “blank” (ie. Saying Harvard University instead of just Harvard)

Then, as a joke, I started saying the school’s FULL name, which was like “State University of insert state here at blank college”, and the first time I said it my friend started laughing because it was so dumb. It wasn’t actually all that funny, but then seeing her laugh made me laugh, and so did my other two friends, followed by the rest of the table, and soon this entire table of mostly strangers started cry laughing at me simply saying the name of our college. It went on for like 5 minutes. It’s a really sweet memory.
