It's me again, but this time I have a question
How much do you love httyd 3? That sounds rude but I need to know there's someone else out there who loves httyd 3 as much as I do. Because just. Hiccup and toothless man. Just them. And Astrid and hiccup! Them being a power couple who had some problems which they overcome is everything to me. Astrid supporting hiccup and helping him remember that yes he loves toothless and has an extraordinary bond with him but he's still strong and amazing on his own to, and the hiccstrid wedding, the kiss during the battle, just all of it had me screaming, they're just so cute and I love them. And hiccup and toothless, fuck just them. Their relationship, how much it has evolved, how much they cared for each other. How hiccup loved toothless enough to let him go AND THE PARALLEL THAT SCENE HAD, I HAVE NOT RECOVERED FROM THAT, That was everything. How hiccup was ready to die if it meant toothless would live.And how toothless immediately recognizes him even after years and years of being apart because they have a bond that can never be broken. And the end credits were beautiful too, I remember playing that song on repeat for days because I loved it so freaking much. I also remember making my whole family wait in the theater even tho we were the only ones there because I wanted to see the whole song 💀 it was worth it tho, don't regret it. Just, the whole movie was awesome and I loved it. Anyway, sorry for this 💀 tho if you ever need someone to rant about httyd too, then please feel free to message me 😂 sorry.
No bc this, HTTYD did that, it showed a friendship between a human and a creature with both of them as equals, a friendship built on trust and love till the very end when Hiccup let Toothless go.
And if I start talking about how much I adore Hiccup and Astrid I'll never stop

anyone else remember being like 13 years old and watching that scene in how to train your dragon (2010) where hiccup carefully navigates the maze of lines toothless has drawn between them without breaking or stepping on any of them and with his back to toothless and eyes shut to demonstrate how he’s willing to put total faith in him not to harm him or run away and to show humility and a desire to establish a natural bond of mutual trust instead of the arrogance to try to force toothless to submit to his will and hearing the music crescendo and fade into silence as he finally crosses the last obstacle so that they’re standing mere inches from one another, tension built on years of bad blood between their two races, so immense it’s almost like a physical barrier, separating them, and after what feels like forever toothless presses his nose gently into hiccup’s outstretched palm and it fits perfectly like it was made solely for that specific purpose, and feeling all the hairs on your neck stand up and a stifling sensation that brought actual tears to your eyes rise in your throat as it touched something profound and full of unspeakable yearning inside you
