okay you know what it is for me it's the fact that I'm worried they don't understand Reed's character based on Pedro Pascal's normal type of character. I like the rest of the cast. I'll be happy as long as they don't replace Reed's canonical personality with just Pedro Pascal or like the Mandalorian. Pedro just seems like the LAST person I would think of to cast as Reed.

Yeah, so THEM, my babies, my beautiful children- *clears throat* Yeah, I can be normal about them. But yeah, this ship actually made me appriciate the friends to lovers trope a lot more than I did before.

I just think they have a lot of potential to them both. They haven't been explored as their own characters nearly enough and I think they'd be really good friends. I mean, I assume you've seen my FrankLuna post at this point. There are so many reasons that they work. I'm sure I have projected onto them both a lot, but they're mainly empty slates and I'm just trying to embellish the small character bits I already see in them.

I have curated a whole fanfic storyline for them up until they get married basically because I'm a sucker for a good happily ever after. Just because I can, I am going to give a little outline of what the story will be. Hopefully one day I will actually get around to writing it. I have a lot planned.

  • So it starts when Franklin and Luna are like 14/15 and they reunite after the Fantastic Four returns from space. (This was in the one fanfic I have published on my blog "Kidnapped...Again".) They become best friends and they hang out a lot. Luna managed to convince Crystal to let her go back to Braddock Academy and now she gets to see her dad a lot more and she hangs out with Franklin, Valeria, and Ben and Alicia's kids a lot (Nikki and Jo). And Franklin is still going to that one school that was in FF #20.
  • It's definitely going to be best friends to lovers, like there is not going to be any inkling of romance until they're older. Franklin does have one girlfriend though, a girl from his school Sara Jessen (who is mentioned in FF #20 as well). She's just a normal girl and though they have a good relationship they ultimately break up because Sara can't handle the stress of the superhero life. But Sara and Franklin stay friends. Also Luna, who got to know Sara as well, are also friends because I do not like women pitted against women.
  • Here's where stuff really starts to happen. At about 17/18, Franklin starts to feel like he wants to leave home. But he feels like he can't talk to anyone about it because he knows if he says anything his family will convince him to stay and he knows he won't be able to say no. He does tell Val this though, and eventually Franklin formulates a plan to leave home. He just wants some freedom and some time to figure out who he is without his family and without his powers, and he feels he can't do that at home.
  • So Franklin, with Val's help, leaves home. He does go talk with Spider-Man first though and gives him a phone that will let him reach him in case anything happens. Peter tries to convince him to stay, but realizes that Franklin already has his mind made up and lets him go with the condition that Franklin will call him when he gets wherever he's going.
  • (Of course Franklin's departure has huge repercussions at home, mainly in Reed who realizes he maybe hasn't been the best dad to Franklin in the last while, but that's not important right now. That will be for another post or ask. >:))
  • So this action kinda branches off into what I am thinking of as two comic miniseries' that crossover pretty often. First we have The Adventures of Franklin Richards, and overlapping with that is The Adventures of Luna Maximoff/Braddock Academy Adventures (I haven't decided on a name for that one yet).
  • Franklin's story follows him going to visit Artie and Leech who are back with the Morlocks (because I'm anti-Krakoa and so are they cause I said so). Franklin needs to have friends again. The Future Foundation was so good for him, but now they've all gone their separate ways. But basically Franklin is just hopping around the world visiting all his friends (Leech, Power Pack, Luna etc.), adopting a stray puppy (who he names Baxter), and figuring out that he can be a hero all on his own without his family behind him and without his powers. He eventually settles in London, England and moves in with an old couple who sponsor a disaster relief center that he volunteers at in exchange for shelter/meals. (This is also close to Luna, so he likes that.)

  • As for Luna, she's making friends and doing fun school stuff. She's in her last year of school at this point. (Franklin's one year older than her.) There's a lot of just classic monster of the week stuff, and fun magic/Otherworld stuff going on. They have Morgan le Fay trapped in the basement and she's like this weird wine aunt to all the kids there. Also in the basement is this crazy magic/cosmic fissure that sometimes sends the kids on these adventures to who knows where. At some point Franklin and Luna get sent to this planet that looks like a giant graveyard and they find the body of Galactus there. And Franklin touches the body and his latent powers get activated again and Galactus comes back to life (I'm ignoring canon at this point can you tell?). So this is where the future Franklin-Galactus bond originates. And Franklin has his powers back (after coming to terms with losing them though.)
  • Anyways, at this point, Franklin and Luna start having feelings for each other. They go on lots of road trips in England together and just hang out a lot. With Franklin's powers back, he takes Luna to planets across the galaxy and they have lots of little adventures.
  • Then, Crystal decides to pull Luna out of school and bring her back to Attilan because of some recent world ending event. Luna is heartbroken and Franklin doesn't even say goodbye. But around this time, Franklin is thinking about going back home again, and he does. He and the FF have a very heartfelt reunion and things get talked out and it all is happy.
  • Luna and Franklin see each other again when the Inhumans and the FF have a team up. She's happy he's home again and happy and he's just happy to see her. Valeria is definitely catching on the vibes between them though-
  • Anyways, they get older, but we're doing a long slow burn because they don't want to ruin what they already have with their feelings. (Side note: neither of them can read each others minds/feelings because their powers counter each others. Their powers both them them psychic blocks.) But it eventually all comes to a head after a particularly dangerous fight and you know the whole "i thought I'd lost you" trope. I'm sorry but it's all tropes forgive me. Anyways, they kiss and get together, you know the drill.
  • They're together for a long while. And eventually get engaged (around this time the main FF decide to retire and they choose Franklin, Val, Luna and Nikki to be the next FF with Jo and Bentley-23 expressing interest in taking over the Future Foundation.) There's a whole wedding planned, but then pretty near the wedding Franklin and Luna just decide to elope because the stress of all their families getting together and a possible villain attack is too much. (Sue and Crystal aren't very happy about this, but it ends up okay.) And then it's a nice happy ending. That's about it I think.
  • Now there is a lot of stuff also going on with side characters throughout all this. Like Valeria, Nikki, Jo, Bentely-23 (I ship him and Valeria), the main FF, the Magnet Fam and there's a whole Krakoa conspiracy, none of which I will get into right now.
  • This all feels like a very basic outline to me, but it's actually so much looking back now. I am so sorry, this is so much.

Unfortunately, J Kras is Reed. Diversity loss for us FF fans

*sad noises* i'm just sad at this point honestly... I have nothing against John Krasinski as an actor or a person, he seems like a great guy, but I do not thing he should play Reed at all. The only reason people want him to play Reed is because Reed grew a beard in the comics and happened to look a lot like him. (And he's married to Emily Blunt, who would make a pretty decent Sue Storm). I just don't think he can pull of Reed's character. Reed is a very distinct person, and he's very detached and logical, and I just don't think Krasinski can pull that off. He honestly just looks too nice to me?? He doesn't have the right personality? And yeah, I know actors are paid to change their personalities for their characters, but I don't think he can play the distracted, sometimes detached but ultimately loving Reed. At least from what I have seen of his work. Like Reed Richards is kinda the worst? He's just a really annoying person who will argue with you until you think he's right and knows he's smarter than you. In real life, Reed would be so annoying, I love him. And I just don't think that Krasinski can play annoying. He's too loveable lol

But, I am still holding out some hope that the John Krasinki Reed was just for fan service to quell the fans and will stay a Variant and not be the actual Prime Reed Richards. I just want them to cast literally anyone else as Reed. If you're talking about how Reed should be played by a black man since Kang (his descendant) is played by Jonathan Majors in the Loki series, then also, yeah. I think a black Reed Richards would be really good. But also, I have love in my heart for the idea of a black Sue and Johnny Storm instead. I haven't seen many people mention this side of the coin in that regard though. Not sure why the idea appeals to me, but I always see people talking about Reed being black, but not considering the other side of the family in Sue.

I mean, over all, I would just like the MCU not to touch the FF at all, but that's not possible, so I'll just have to hope for the best, and if not, I will suffer.
