Right now I'm focusing on Dadneto fanfics and that's probably what it will be for a while, so I feel like I should kinda show that with my theme, but I'm not sure.

theres something positively satisfying about how there are no fics where Peter tells Erik that they're family and Erik turns him away. Sure he might need a breather for the revelation. But he never turns Peter away. Family is just so integral to what Erik is. Erik rejecting family is unthinkable.
something i love about timeloops is that they satisfy the urge to study blorbo from your shows like a bug. i've trapped them in a timeloop and i'm subjecting them to situations. the narrative is a jar and i'm shaking it.

My favorite types of fics are when it comes to dadneto is that Erik knew exactly who peter was when he broke him out of the pentagon. Like Charles and hank were like whatever fast boy, Logan knew what was up but thought it would be funny. Like Erik knew tiny peter as a child then like bam the little silver-haired kid he knew is now an annoying silver-haired teenager. Anyways concluding this dadneto rant for tonight goodbye.

i was making up an au about apocalypse succeeding in possessing charles and jean eventually stopping him (and erik's "what have i done" when he sees evil charles-) but as i was writing somehow i just had to turn it into dadneto angst like the pen really just moved on it's own-

basically what happened was apocalypse transferred his consciousness into charles in the pyramid fully, like he planned to. and all the xmen and horsemen gather and erik sees charles for the first time and is already regretting everything- but hasn't fully grasped it all yet... until charles-apocalypse does a little mind thing and all of a sudden all the xmen are on the ground, screaming, rolling around in pain, and holding their heads (except jean cuz she's kool and has ~mind powers~ but she's still using her powers to block it out and also like rightly freaking out so no phoenix powers yet). it's seeing this monster wearing charles' face, smiling as he hurts/is killing his friends, that erik has his "what have i done moment". and raven is not just screaming incoherently and in pain, but erik's name, so erik is like okay loml please stop hurting them??? and apocalypse is like hmm??? bitch look this one's your son (cuz either charles already knew or ya know can just reads minds) and he's like hey peter tell him you're his son and peter's just like owowow and so apocalypse increases the mind shit he's doing and is like tell him he's your dad but also tell him to kill you and all the pain will stop and so peter's like hi dad please kill me. and erik's like no tf and tries to kill apocalypse instead but can't because apocalypse is too op so yeah. apocalypse kills peter as a punishment for erik's betrayal. jean does her phoenix thing- a little late though babe- and erik loses his son as soon as he finds out he has one ://// does a little pietá reference with how he holds the body, cradling him as he's draped across his lap, as he mourns not only his son but also charles ://///////////////////

Man child Peter is cool and all, but I would die for mature adult Peter. Couldn't get dad! Peter out of my head so I drew this, plus an obligatory dadneto :D

there’s one fic that i come back to every so often to read and cry. during my first xmen phase in middle school, i read https://m.fanfiction.net/s/12084206/1/Requiescat and like sobbed so yeah. it’s the most memorable one for me. the line “peter’s cold” traumatized me jsyk.
everyone stfu i'm imagining erik contacting peter inbetween dofp and apocalypse at a point where neither of them are aware of their relation yet. but erik remembers him being really fast and useful so he recruits him to steal information from government labs. and erik wonders why he starts feeling less and less willing to send peter into the field (spoiler alert: it's because he's concerned for his safety)... which doesn't really matter because peter eventually finds out that erik has been using the information to track down and kill people. and peter gets mad and in his anger he starts ranting about how erik's actions like this have made everything worse for mutants etc etc and this causes erik to re-evaluate his whole stance and everything... and he's still confused as to why this one boy means so much to him as he's determined to fix everything for peter- just. dadneto being dadneto without realizing he's dadneto.

Sometimes I like to entertain the idea that perhaps Erik already kinda knows and/or has figured it out on his own by now.
