I am here. I am not a robot; I am a real person who has suffered greatly.
I reached out to ask you: is it normal to die a little every day? Is it normal that I haven’t seen the rest of my family in a year? Is it normal that I am unable to meet my mother’s basic needs, like her medicine? Is it normal to have to move with my mother, who has a spinal disc issue, for the tenth time, bearing the burdens of relocation? Is it normal to watch my mother fall ill and be unable to do anything for her?
I am truly exhausted and have found no one to help me. I am not asking you for financial support. I may be weak and unable to reach everyone, and my voice is unheard. All I ask of you is to share my story in your own way. Include my campaign at the end of a public survey or share my story through an expressive drawing, and spread it clearly to highlight its importance.
I have not forgotten the pain of losing my father, so please, my mother deserves to live. Your help is my hope.
I hope you are able to find safety and care for yourself and your mother, Amira

INTERSTATE 35 is an evocative narrative game from Radiant Array which follows a young woman returning to her hometown in Texas after a nuclear disaster. Through lush, poetic writing, we follow her literal journey through the post-apocalypse on a scavenging mission, and retrace her figurative journey to see how she got here and where she might head next. I was lucky enough to play this early and it's stayed with me ever since. INTERSTATE 35 will take you through the plains of memory, what we leave behind, and what haunts places long after they are killed. The writing is beautiful and it's a must-play for any fans of The Mountain Goats.
It comes out November 13th. You can wishlist it below:

pointing out that capitalist welfare states are built on imperialist superprofits gets a lot of wank on here so just wanted to point to a new example. novo nordisk, denmark's (our favourite nordic model state) largest company (its market capitalisation exceeds the size of denmark's economy) is a pharmaceutical company that saw its fortunes rise after the decades long battle that enforced international IP law on India to prevent it from re-engineering drugs as generics. quite literally extraction of super profits via enforcement of fake monopolies.
From the first article, which is more about the whole industry
