leia remembering her mother’s face even though she was just minutes old…that headcanon where a forcesensitive feels without respect to time, loves someone with all of the love they ever have or ever will feel…obi-wan being the first one to hold luke…obi-wan being the first face luke ever saw…obi-wan and infant luke traveling together on a ship…obi-wan being the first person to ever feed luke…obi-wan carrying luke through the desert, shielding him from the sand, holding up his head…

all that is to say, luke wasn’t just mourning a stranger he just met, or even his last link to home, but his first feelings of warmth and safety and love, the first parent and caregiver he ever knew, even if he didn’t quite remember it.
