only Jews and Roma were targeted for complete annihilation due to the dehumanization of their existences and their racial “undesirability” in society. the entire purpose of the Final Solution was built on exterminating Jews. the entire Nazi party was built on the motive of antisemitism. many other people they murdered were targeted because of perceived ties to Jewry and how Jews were seen as corrupters of European aryan society. Jew hatred was the engine and the fire that drove everything. this has been explained over and over again. why are we forced to keep doing it.

modern CONSUMER vehicles now have cameras that watch you to make sure you're looking at the road at all times and shit. my friend's new car won't let her use cruise control if she's wearing a mask (because it therefore can't see enough of her face to believe she's watching the road), or if the camera, which is located on the dash at the bottom edge of the windshield, overheats and malfunctions, which it does all the time because sun.

and the next time you're in a fender bender? you best believe insurance will want to download all your car's recordings.

There are only 15.8 million of us in the entire world. We are in no way a “major world religion,” and the idea that we are is a misconception that stems from the fact that the two largest and most historically and geopolitically powerful religions in the world, Christianity and Islam, were founded on the appropriation of our sacred texts which were never intended to be used by anyone other than the Jewish people. If you think you know anything about Judaism because you’ve learned about “Abrahamic faiths,” you probably don’t know anywhere near as much about Judaism as you think you do.

We aren’t trying to convert you. We simply are not. If I’m trying to tell you something about Judaism I’m just trying to share information or offer an alternate perspective or clear up misinformation, but literally we are never trying to convert you.

I get that it’s a knee jerk reaction to shy away from these discussions because you feel like this all comes with a hook, because that’s what Christianity does, but that isolation leaves you susceptible to misinformation and echo chamber thinking about Jews

Judaism is an ancestral religion not just in that it can be passed down through family but in the sense that we place a lot of emphasis on our ancestors and our connection to them and their experiences. Our cultural memory stretches back thousands of years and it is continuous. There is no doubt to us that the Ancient Israelites are our ancestors, and later evidence only proved it.

That we have about as much in common with Christianity as religions like the Roman, Messopotamian, and other pagan religions do. Atheists like to point out how Christianity stole various holidays from various religions but for some reason we aren't given the same courtesy.

That we are a people, an "ethnicity," a nation. Even apart from our religious beliefs and practices, we have a culture, we have a physical and communal lived Jewish identity. We cannot stop being religious and just melt away into secular Leftist Western society. If doesn't matter if "the Bible" isn't "historical" enough for you - we are a literal people group that physically exists, and we are entitled to the same rights as everyone else - freedom, independence, self determination, our own culture. It isn't because we're "the chosen people" and somehow better than you. It's because we ARE a people JUST LIKE you, and you cannot make us dissappear because you find us somehow inconvenient.

spring-boarding off that last one, the concept of “the chosen people” in judaism isn’t some sort of “divine right” / “one true religion” thing that elevates us over anyone else. it’s referring to an agreement between hashem (g-d) & the jewish people that we will follow jewish law & that g-d will protect us if we do. there are other gods and religions; this one is just ours.

fucking australia’s trying to get everyone to link their government id to their social media accounts else you cant use them anymore, the actual fuck is wrong with this country

please, actually, get fucking mad over this, the entirety of australia basically just banned all social media for anyone who doesnt want to give up their privacy to the government, there was no vote on this, no nothing, they just went ahead and fucking passed this ridiculously privy law and barely anybody’s talking about it the actual fuck

okay so to actually explain what exactly is happening, it’s an age thing. theyve used ‘protect the children’ and ‘let kids be kids’ as a weapon again. anyone under 16 is banned from social media, but to enforce this they have openly admitted everyone will need to link their government id to their social media. this whole ‘protect the kids’ thing was a very obvious trojan horse for getting ppl to give up their privacy.

and yknow, that alone is a very shitty law even without the whole surrendering your private information to the government thing.

theyve made outside uninhabitable, there’s nowhere left to go. public areas have degenerated, theyve turned hanging out into a crime with loitering, streets feel unwalkable sometimes, parents are more wary of letting their kids walk around on their own than they used to be, and now theyre trying to ban one of the main ways kids manage to distract themselves inside the house.

when i was 15 i was depressed and lonely, unable to leave the house very far, no friends, nobody. the one place that helped me feel less alone was online communities. i wouldve killed myself if it werent for the support i recieved on there. and now theyre trying to ban that for future generations, in a world that hates them being both outside and inside.

and even still, this is still a fucking trojan horse to get you to give up your privacy.

Every now and then some discourse pops up around a queer ship consisting of a pair of fictional characters who are not blood related, but refer to themselves as "brothers" or "sisters," or are in some way, according to the fandom, "sibling-coded."

Every time I see that discourse, all I can think about are the very real queer men I once knew, who, before their deaths, lived their lives posing as "stepbrothers." The only way to avoid suspicion for being two older unmarried men living together in a rural conservative area was to pretend they were from the same family, even though the truth was that they were lovers.

They were never out in life. Their relationship was a strict secret to nearly everyone. They never knew that I knew, and sometimes it fucks me up inside that they never got to come out to me. It fucks me up that they had to hide behind a fake "brotherly" relationship for their own safety. It fucks me up to look at a gravestone that reads "beloved brother" and know what it really means, and what it could have said if they'd lived under different circumstances.

In another world, they could have been husbands, but they never had the opportunity. The world will remember them as brothers, because, even in death, that is what was safest.

The freedom to declare queer love openly is something that not everyone has. And I think more people could stand to remember that.
