How do you feel abt the idea that religious texts are allegorical?
Works for me. We can ignore them and read Aesop's Fables, or watch Star Trek instead to learn lessons. Much better, much more relevant, much less slavery and rape.
The god of an allegorical text is, necessarily, allegorical. My favorite kind.
