Here is my completed work: Hyrule Shield and Master Sword from the Legend of Zelda

Quilling is the art of twirling paper and creating mosaic designs with the twirled shapes.

I made this live on stream over at twitch.tv/stitch_please Follow me to see more quilling creations! I’ll be working on the Pokemon Mareep next when supplies get ordered and shipped! ⚡️🐑

The boy has never had anything nice and the second he gets his hands on some money he tries to buy a fucking solid gold cauldron like started from the bottom now we here I love him so much

Honestly Hagrid saved Harry from so much embarrassment. Can you imagine him turning up to his first potions lesson with a fucking solid gold cauldron??? Like Snape already hated Harry think about what he would have said if Harry just plonked that on his desk

I think he would have said fuck it to his promise to dumbledore and murdered Harry on the spot

All these Bulbasaur, plus more that couldn’t be fit into this post, can be found on my Redbubble store! They are so fun to do that I will probably keep drawing and adding new ones to the collection forever.

Let’s be honest here– Nami’s boobs aren’t the only things that got bigger over the course of One Piece

People are reblogging this saying “damn those guns you’re right” but I actually meant his nose

Okay but i think I know what happened

Homestuck is the story that Hussie created, the story of John, Rose, Dave, and Jade. The existence of this story is what allowed Lord English to exist. When the beta kids souls got sucked into the juju in Caliborn’s claymations, he was creating the story in which he could exist, the entire reality where he could rule as LE.

But then the juju became something that could only be used against him, because all stories must end.

Which is why Hussie was the one who did the trademark point thumbs down, because it was Hussie who made the story, and Hussie who could end it.

I think that’s also why the whole Hussie-vs-Vriska thing happened in [S] Collide, because he had to stall her enough that she wouldn’t end the story before it’s time. There were still things that needed to happen, a few battles that needed to be won.

And when Vriska unleashed the juju on the battlefield, she was officially ending the story of the beta kids, with LE and everyone still inside. Which is why it cut off so suddenly, and why we all feel like we’re missing something. The only way to defeat a creature that can’t die is to end the reality in which it exists. Homestuck is over, and so is Lord English.

When you’re carding, spinning and weaving everything from scratch, using the big squares exactly as they come off the loom must seem like a fucking brilliant idea. 90% (or more) of pre-14th century clothing is made purely on squares (and sometimes triangles cut from squares).

How did they get the fabric so fine it draped like that? Was that something medieval europe forgot? Or do I just have a completely misguided image of historical clothing?

Medieval Europe also had incredibly fine weaves, though the ancient world tended to have them beat. Linen was found in Egypt woven with a fineness that we’re still trying to replicate, and there was a kind of cotton woven in India called ‘woven wind’ that was supposedly still translucent at eight layers, and wool shawls so fine that the entire thing could be drawn through a wedding ring

The way they could get away with pinking and slashing doublets in the 16th century was partially because the fabrics were so tightly woven that you could simply cut a line on the bias and nothing would fray.

Modern fabric machining sucks ass in terms of giving us any kind of quality like the kind human beings produced prior to the Industrial Revolution.

Yep. Machines can make fabric quickly, but machine-made fabric takes a hit in quality compared to what a skilled human weaver can make by hand.
