physics tutor!nanami should really be sleeping. He never stays up this late, and yet there he is, wide awake, padding through the apartment he shares with his childhood friend, Haibara. don't get me wrong, I love angst, I love the feeling of my chest tightening and then maladaptive daydreaming about being in the situation to the point I start sobbing (that's probably why I'm not too bad at writing angst, I'm very empathetic)

BUT I just didn't want you guys accusing me of being obsessed pls im a STAR

as for my favourite trope, it's always going to be friends to lovers

OH GOD FRIENDS TO LOVERS WITH NANAMI KENTO PLEASE SOMEBODY SEDATE ME

I always think of him in a friends to lovers situation because I imagine he's the kind of guy who does acts of service and never tells you. he doesn't do it for recognition or for the gratitude, not even in the hopes that you'll see him as much more than a friend. he does it just cause he wants to make your life easier, to see you smile a little more brightly, because he can sleep soundly knowing you're worry-free

so for me its my favourite trope because of the PINING

two people who are each other's persons, wanting more but fearing that to dare would mean to lose it all

and the whole deciding that being friends is enough because it's never 'just' friends with you, it means everything to them to be near you in any capacity

that your happiness will always supersede any of their selfish desires

I was so happy to have found her content because she encapsulated everything I love about the friends to lovers trope so well
