I would argue for waterbender Theo. As much as I love the idea of theo throwing around fire I feel like water would just. Hit so good.
Like. You've got the ability to heal and it could be seen as quite a like gentle element and then theres Theo who goes full feral with it.
Especially if you think about blood bending.

Def waterbender Theo, most of their fighting style is about using your opponents attacks/energy against them and that’s absolutely something he’d do.
As for Liam, I’d say fire bender because he’s very confrontational and upfront, but I could also see him as an earth bender because they stand their ground and they move for no one.
I’m more tempted to go with fire bender Liam though bc you gotta love that opposites attract dichotomy.
I was thinking about Theo as an airbender with Zaheer’s style being all aggressive with a powerful power but now I can’t stop thinking about Theo with Ming Hua’s style of waterbending
so who’s going to write the au 👀
