i think the key element about klaus and five's relationship that makes me love them so much is just that they always believe each other. everyone else reaches a point in most conversations where they decide that five is crazy and klaus is attention seeking but these two never really reach that point of dismissing each other about it. like yes five is a little bit crazy (who wouldn't be?) and klaus does like attention and neither of them are stupid enough to miss that but it doesn't mean every word out of their mouths is a lie and they seem like the only two who really get that about each other. klaus heard and instantly believed five's time travel story and remembered exactly how long he was alone down to the number even after almost a year in a warzone while diego flat out forgot after like a month and five believed klaus about talking to their dad so easily once he realised he was being serious. even in the second season where they were barely allowed to breathe next to each other five was the only one who seemed to suspect that something was up with klaus being possessed acting so weird all the time even if he was never allowed to investigate it. it's a really unique kind of understanding between them that's so integral to who they are as characters and the things they struggle with most that it's kind of invaluable

^^this was my first digital artwork in September 2020 and it was drawn with a cheap little plug in tablet and the free art program called krita and a lot of neck aches omg I rmemeber this took me so long but the procreate one took me like maybe an hour and a half if that. It's just so rad to see my improvement and I'm only gonna keep aiming higher!!!
