Probably unpopular opinion, but I actually think them having a lower budget for Once Upon A Time In Wonderland helped with the world's immersion, especially if someone watches it nowadays. I don't know how to explain it exactly, but back then, especially with Ouat running alongside, it lacked on that department a lot. Nowadays that we've seen SO MUCH advanced CGI, the lack of it in Ouatiw creates a very distinct and somewhat uncanny feeling for Wonderland which is exactly what the world's supposed to be!

I'm pretty sure that a big budget movie nowadays could capture the world in a different way, more "realistic" but imo the lower budget in this case actually helps. In what world would you ever find dragonflies who look computerized and a chess-like castle that looks slightly pixelated? In Wonderland!

This is what the Red Queen’s crown originally looked like. They ended up removing the spikes before filming. Made by Medicina Designs.

I really love her crown — the designer did such a good job with it. Here’s some other angles of the crown before she took the spikes off:

The designer made two crowns afterwards that were inspired by the Red Queen’s crown. This first one, I really love that it has some pink and white gems, as well as the red. Ana’s colors:

And the second one which is white and green. I could definitely see Ana wearing it in her White Queen era:

Also, Medicina Designs still sells customizable replicas of the Red Queen crown on their Etsy, if anyone wants one.
