Rebel Admirals Rex & Kalani from an au where the clone and droid rebellions were a bit more successful
hi I love this
thanks! I might draw more for it eventually - it's really interesting how the clone rebellion worked out in tbb and the droid rebellion in rebels.
if the clone rebellion had had more than one point five founding members, they definitely would have been able to do full scale base jailbreaks (literally echo by himself managed to grab the entirety of the tantiss prisoners, so echo in command of a full venator would be practically unstoppable). on the other hand, the droids had a full army but were effectively stranded. combined, the Alliance is less of a guerilla force and more of an actual opposing army!
(this also has the side effect of making admirals' meetings exceedingly awkward. poor ackbar.)

my cody theory for tbb s3
Young Wolffe headcanons!!
-Wolffe always had a really big heart and cared way to much about everyone. When he was growing up, he’d cry when other cadets got hurt or got punished.
-He got mad at people who squished bugs that showed up in the dorms. He’d try to catch them and sneak them outside in the middle of the night.
-He named multiple bugs and tried to keep them as pets. They didn’t last long and he cried every time.
-He was always kind to others and was the first person to help out a struggling fellow cadet or comfort a crying brother. He’d get really mad when someone was being teased.
-some people teased Wolffe for being a crybaby, but Cody and Fox would beat people up for it so no one did it twice
-there was serious concern that Wolffe was too soft-hearted for command, but he ended up squeaking through.
-Wolffe was NOT supposed to end up assigned to Plo Koon because Plo Koon is also a huge softie and the Kaminoans in charge of matching commanders to Jedi generals were like “if we put those two together they’ll just end up hugging everyone under their command and no war will ever be accomplished” and i mean
-but there was a mixup at the last minute and Wolffe ended up with Plo and Fox ended up on Coruscant (the theory was that someone like Wolffe would be better in a civilian-facing position. who knows how that would have worked out lol)
-Wolffe was initially low-key terrified of Plo Koon and it took him a while to warm up to him
-Plo Koon saw Wolffe carefully unbending a leaf of a plant that someone stepped on and quietly apologizing to it on the first planet they were deployed to and instantly went “oh goodness i love him he’s mine”
-Plo got Wolffe a plant for his quarters and Wolffe loved it and that’s when he started warming up to his general
-Wolffe didn’t cry at all after Abregado.
-After Abregado, Wolffe pretty much did a 180 personality-wise and became the sarcastic, exasperated, tough, closed-off commander we all know and love.
-his batchmates- especially Cody and Fox- were absolutely floored because it was like he was a completely different person.
-they were all drinking at 79s and a spider landed on the table and Wolffe smushed it. Everyone stared at him and Wolffe just shrugged. Rex got up and left and cried alone in the barracks because he felt like he’d lost his big brother.
-Wolffe didn’t get another plant until after the Battle of Endor
what i’m getting at here is that before Abregado, Wolffe did NOT have any sort of reputation as a hardass or an intimidating person or anything like that. Everyone who knew him knew him as a big softhearted baby. Before Abregado, Wolffe cared so much about everyone all the time and would be open and vulnerable with ppl almost at the drop of a hat, and after Abregado, Wolffe’s Circle of Caring became Boost, Sinker, Plo, Comet eventually, and his batchmates. That’s it. People he was open to were Boost, Sinker, Plo occasionally, and his batchmates only when very, very, drunk.
