I told them not to support dangergays, a known terf (receipts at @dangergaze) and when presented w proof they said they’d rather “not get into it” I told mod Bethany as a cis woman, ignoring transmisogyny and choosing to be neutral was transmisogynist. She then used mod ash, who doesn’t experience transmisogyny, as a shield. Mod ash then started posting abt being suicidal bc of this. I said they shouldn’t be a mod if they’re getting upset like that over me calling out transmisogyny. They then CHOSE to resign and blamed me. This is all in their callout, which is pure retaliation

Okay, hi. I’m Ash. Bethany isn’t using me as a shield; she was stating that around the same time this discussion was happening, I was getting harassed on several different posts and slipped into a really bad dissociative episode. Neither her nor I are the authorities on what is transmisogynistic. But being that I am trans, I have more of an idea than she does, and if she is unsure of what to make of a post involving transphobia, transmisogyny, or other trans issues, she will default to me.

We did discuss that, and it didn’t really make sense to us, especially to me, since, again, I was dissociating. We have a very clear policy on TERFs here, and it’s one that I wrote. This is it.

I don’t go to battle for her. I like to stay away from discussion about TERFs, since it’s bad for my mental health, but when my friend is getting harassed and accused of perpetuating rape culture because she supports trans people, all bets are off.

Bethany stands up to TERFs more often than I do. I provide counsel when she needs it, because I know more than she does, but I don’t like to get involved because it will make me dissociate and very possibly become suicidal.

She has been nothing but supportive of me, other trans people, nonbinary people, and the trans community. I don’t know where the fuck you’re getting this shit from.
