He's always gonna be second best, but give him a reason, whether it's survival of his species, bulma, trunks, cabba, pride....he's gonna fight for it, and db history shows us, win it...Be second but be first in caring, that's my Vegeta!

Vegeta is a strategist....he thinks about battles unless he’s blinded by emotion (cue him fighting Beerus with no chance of surviving, or whenever hurt!Bulma is mentioned)...so, him not reducing to s3 makes perfect sense, I’m glad he didn’t. He knows reaching a high power level is useless if it’s slow.........
