You do not need to use essential oils to flavor your food or drinks. There is usually an actual extract of most popular herbs, plants and spices that are intended for these purposes.
Why does this need to be said? The only thing essential oils might be good for is smelly stuff that doesn’t go on your skin. And even then you still need to be extra cautious.
You can literally get a 2oz bottle of peppermint extract at most grocery stores for less than $4. Same with vanilla, lemon, orange, hell they even have lavender extract.
Make sure it says EXTRACT! And you still need to be careful when using these too.
Please be safe and don’t put essential oils in your food or drinks (or anything you plan on putting in your mouth or body). And be careful putting it in anything you put on your body. And please do not put them in your bath water!!!
I know it’s trendy right now but you know what was also trendy? Nightshade eye drops. Yeah, in the Victorian era women would use nightshade eye drops to achieve a “big watery eye” look. They knew that it caused blindness and even death, but they didn’t care.
