Check your ballots and tell your people to check theirs. There is a process to fix errors (usually signatures not matching; common with younger voters who tend to sign their ballots nicer than their driver’s license or whatever form they signed to register)

If you're wondering why polling averages are suddenly showing Trump winning despite all the bad news he's gotten lately- it might have something to do with this:

Basically, Republicans are ratfucking the polling averages by churning out huge numbers of partisan polls, and the polling aggregators/analysts like 538 aren't doing due diligence to compensate for it.

Now, what is the purpose of this?

Well, in the immediate-term, it creates a narrative that Trump is winning, boosting morale of his supporters while demoralizing support for Democrats and Harris.

Beyond that, if polling averages show that Trump is winning ahead of election day-which we can pretty much guarantee they will, because see above-then they will use that as "proof" of fraud if Democrats subsequently win.

Basically, they are engineering a pretext for their next coup attempt in front of us.

The only numbers that decide anything are actual votes. So ignore the polls, and VOTE.

[image description: a tweet by user @indigenousAI saying

“fun fact: as a DV survivor i cannot register to vote because doing so makes my address public. anyone who is fleeing or hiding from an abuser is automatically disenfranchised from the political process and this is a feature, not a bug”]

I don’t know of the original poster might not be aware

but!

if you’ve been a victim of domestic violence, sexual assault, or stalking, you can enroll into the address confidentiality program (free of cost!) and be registered to vote as an absentee voter and your name and address will not be made available for the public

it is super easy to get enrolled - the application takes like 5 minutes, but it has to be with someone who is certified to do it (most likely an advocate! try going to a family justice center in your area or calling the Attorney Generals office in your area!!!!)

ALSO :

you don’t need to have any police reports or have a protection order to qualify!!! you just have to sign stating that you’ve been a victim of one of the aforementioned crimes.

Easy. They hate him, but many of those that can’t stand him and think he’s doing a terrible job vote for him because they conflate his power as Senate majority leader as Kentucky’s power. Seriously. I’ve had conversations with Republicans that hate what he does, and some of them thinks he’s such an insufferable asshole, but when I asked why they keep voting for him the answer was always, “if he stays in the Senate then KY has power in Congress.” They never make the connection that the only time he gives a shit about Kentuckians is during re-election. Nor do they make the connection that his votes hurt the vast majority of Kentuckians.

They also elect Rand Paul, tho.  One state = Two of the most obnoxious, self-important, lying, hypocrites in the Senate.  Kentucky is the problem.

I was today years old when i found out that i was allowed time off to vote. Something no boss has ever told me.

Reblogging now but I'm also scheduling this to post again at the end of October, when folks may need a reminder that they may have right to time off work to vote.

Yeah, if you live in a paid time state nearly no boss is going to tell you this, or that you don't have to clock out. Tell others you work with. Take those two hours.
