i'm so angry at this god forsaken country i can barely even think. we've been failed by every politician, every media outlet, every institution i can think of. republicans are bigots and fascists. democrats are corrupt and incompetent. your vote only matters if you live in a midwest suburb. the media profits off of suffering and chaos. they all do. this country is set up for us to fail at the hands of corporate oligarchs and we're supposed to be quiet about it. i'm sick of this place and everything it stands for.
trans people: the fascists want you dead. staying alive is the biggest "fuck you" to them you can give. this country, this world, will be infinitely better off with you and your voice still in it. things will never get better for us if we die out. live out of spite, and be loud and annoying about it. i love you. stay strong.
trump voters sicken me. this country really has no care or empathy or compassion for each other. this election was won on mass deportations and lies about the "failing" economy. we really don't care about each other at all here. the us is fueled by hate and greed. nothing more nothing less.
i'm saying this as someone who voted for harris: blame the people in power for bungling this election, not disenfranchised people who couldn't support either party. there are so many ways that democrats could have turned out more voters. there was no primary (they literally tried to run joe biden until three months ago). refused an arms embargo to israel, even when it was the popular opinion. overall just ran the most milquetoast, moderate campaign possible, even though people are sick of the status quo. they couldn't rally their base. they lost.
personally, i think not letting us choose a candidate that we actually wanted fucked things for them. this was the democrats' election to lose.
