Hi! I saw the ask you sent imissthembutitwasntadisaster about enemies to lovers done well, and if you like historical literature, I wholeheartedly recommend North and South by Elizabeth Gaskell. Published in 1854, it follows Margaret, the daughter of a clergyman from the south of England, who moves with her family to Milton-Northern (thinly veiled Manchester). There she meets a family of cotton mill workers, and a mill owner (one of his father's pupils). Margaret and the mill owner clash at the beginning because of their different backgrounds, life experiences, socioeconomic philosophies, and perceptions of class.
Thank you for the rec!! I’ve been meaning to read North and South, you’ve encouraged me to actually do it!
