not to hijack your post or make it about something its not but i agree full heartedly and i also think its partly to do with sexualizing young teens and how men will sexualize girls in their supposed “prime” constantly and i specifically remember being 15-18 and feeling like thats when men most try to pick up girls bc they know they are young and associate youth with sexual shit. and i know most girls my age were falling for it too/ it comes with this weird desire to fit into that and not want to be “too old” for dudes who are super creepy anymore bc now youre closer to 19-20s and shit i dont have enough spoons to describe it but i know this is a fucking really insidious thing
