Okay Fanterns. Let’s have a quick chat.

I know we all miss the show. I would love to have a sequel. I think we all would.

We do need to acknowledge that Giancarlo and Jim and the rest of the amazing crew who together made GLTAS the amazing story it was have moved on to new projects, so we don’t know who, if anyone, from the original crew has the time or desire to work on GLTAS again. I like to imagine they would (at least part time) if DC paid them sufficiently for the work.

DC is in the midst of launching a subscription service called DC Universe [link]. Right now it boasts plans to create new shows Harley Quinn, Doom Patrol, Swamp Thing, and Young Justice: Outsiders (season 3 of our DC Nation sibling, YJ).

I’m going to make a brief proposal.Let’s message DC. Every platform you can. Be polite. Be enthusiastic. Don’t curse. Tell them, hey, this platform sounds potentially really interesting, but you know what would have me subscribing to DC Universe in a heartbeat even if it means I’d have to cut another subscription service? A sequel to Green Lantern: The Animated Series. I’d subscribe in a hot minute if I could get any sort of sequel to GLTAS on your new platform. Please consider it.

Hey Fanterns! There’s an upcoming episode of Justice League Action titled “Barehanded” with GLTAS alumni – (Captain) Jim Krieg, Jake Castorena, Josh Keaton, and a surprise cameo – coming up. It doesn’t air on TV for a little bit, but it is available to view now on the Cartoon Network mobile app.

This episode is a MUST SEE for GLTAS fans.

To add to this, this weekend (as far as I know), Cartoon Network has unlocked all episodes of their shows on their official website/app, including the last ten episodes of Justice League Action. “Barehanded” is one of them. This means you can actually view them WITHOUT logging on to a cable subscriber. It’s a good way to directly support the show. Go check it out!
