Maeve is compatiable with Aelin and wants to use her extensive power to enhance her own. ?? By forcing a carranam bond on her! Is that the real reason she's holding her hostage.

Since Yrene is able to unlock powers, to open people up to her healing abilities. Do you think she might be able to unlock Aelin’s water magic. Aelin seems to be so fearful of letting her mother down, and wants to use it so badly. Maybe Yrene can help her heal those wounds and allow Aelin to use her magic. 

In hof, Dorian and Sorscha talk about iron and it's ability to negate magic (ch26).

What if Dorian needs Manon's Iron to help ground him? Help him control his magic? Just like Rowan's wind and Ice helps calm/aid/help/grounds Aelin.

Also does the iron in the ironteeth witches negate their magic and when they yield it's really them melting their iron and releasing the magic that has always been inside them. Acting like iron bars to contain it.

What if...

Aelin Ashryver Galathynius isn't her real name. What if Aelin, Lillian, Diana, Celaena, heir of ash, heir of fire, fireheart, Elentiya, heir or Brannon is actually nameless because her true name is too important to give up. Like Erawan's true name, she doesn't want anyone to ever know it, to distract her when it matters the most. Or that it might hold some power.

Like the idea of the word and the void. What if her name is the word and the gate is the void.

In order for someone to stay in the other side of the portal they need someone on the other side to keep them there.

Supposedly (I'm suspiscious of everything now) maeve sent two valg kings back through the wyrd gate once upon a time.

What if she asked or tricked one brother into taking the other with him? So that they would both be kept on the other side of the gate while it was still open / closing.

Does this mean in order for maeve to be banished that someone will need to keep her on the other side?

It could open itself up to a sacrifice without giving us a death per say - and since sjm seems to be good at weasling out of actually killing her faves maybe this is a way to do it.

What if...

the reason the suriel has such a need for a warm coat is because they travel in the spaces between worlds? That they steps through the veil and can come out at any moment in time. The the suriel is everywhere and nowhere at the same time. That the suriel knows so much because they have seen the past present and future and know the outcomes. That the suriel perhaps talks and communicates with the storykeepers of all the worlds so that they may learn of other posibilities and happenings elsewhere in the cosmos? Because I'm pretty sure that's why their coat gets ruined. It doesn't time travel and dimension travel well. And maybe that's why they don't really have much "flesh" because they are constantly flicking back and forth though all the timey wimey wibbly wobbly bits and it's not good on their body. I mean passing into the space between worlds has to have an effect on your body.

Aelin thinks she has been let out of the iron coffin but really she's living a kind of false memory imprinted from maeve and her powers, so aelin is still stuck inside.
