Mor + Emerie Headcanon / Compromise
I wouldn't mind a Mor X Emerie slow burn across all remaining books only to have a novella dedicated to their mating ceremony and wedding at Athelwood.
Mor walking up the Aisle, her family and friends crying and smiling at the same time. Everyone with their partners kind of like how KoA had that ending scene showing everyone as happy and settled.
It would be the perfect ending.
No wars, no hate, just love.
And it would mean so much more because SJM hasn't written any weddings or mating ceremonies in ACOTAR - to finally get one and for it to be Mor and Emerie's. I would be so happy.
Plus you get a whole novella, of final planning, people arriving, shenanigans, all good shit.
Let me have my slow burn and three books of build up.
Let me have Mor being happy and safe and opening a whole part of herself up to her family. Her secret home and her love.
Let Emerie feel safe and ride horses and run an estate and be the best wife.
Let Mor have a library that she gives to Emerie in her home.
Let Emerie fly to meet Mor in secret.
Let their love blossom slowly and beautifully.
Let them be married.
How certain are you that next book is going to be Gwyn's pov and not Elain's? Why? Because i think Elain is next and then Gwyn and Mor (not sure which order)...
Since ACOTAR 5 is coming out in 2023 we might as well have fun theorizing LOL😢
Well I don't think that Gwyn would be a predominate POV - I think that would likely be Az. However, I would love it if the book were mostly from her perspective? Much more than I would love it from Azriel's. 😅
But I am 99% sure that Az is next, given the fact that we got his POV in an extra chapter and that's been the pattern so far (see: Chaol and Nesta), plus the fact that he was featured more heavily in this book, he seems to be on the brink of a breakthrough for better or worse, and we know that the immediate plot (continuing to train with the Valkyries and his bestie getting mated in a ceremony) will involve Az.
SJM talked about how she had more POV's in ACOSF but that her editor took them out to make a more streamlined story in one of her lives.
So the plan originally could have been to have multiple POV's and not necessarily make it a "main book" for a new character... yet there is a culture shift from the first ACOTAR books. They aren't in first person POV, so it doesn't matter so much if we get varying viewpoints in the text.
Whoever the main couple/ship is - they will have the most POV's as seen in the editing of ACOSF. It just makes good sense for the main romantic couple to have the lead and high priority page time. I wouldn't put is past SJM to have other POV's for the sake of expanding the plot.
Nesta has a magic house at her disposal, she's going to be fine without her all powerful death magic.
Just think....
Amren pisses her off: "House please make it impossible for Amren to enter without my express permission, she was mean to me". House of course complies because Nesta was done dirty.
Nesta doesn't want to walk up and down stairs: "House I'm tired today, Isn't there a faster way to get to the shops?". House makes magic doors that transport Nesta where she wants to go.
Nothing fills me with more rage than the one sided rivalry between Lucien and Azriel
Like those two could've been great friends, SJM fucked them up specifically Azriel for making him into Rhysand 2.0
It’s kind of hilarious, just because Lucien has no idea that Azriel is seething about him. Like…he’s just living his life, doing emissary stuff, and Azriel hates him so much. On Solstice, Azriel is angsting in the doorway about how much he hates the way the bond smells or whatever and Lucien is just talking fantasy football with Cassian, completely unaware that Azriel is upset. It cracks me up.
Lucien: Azriel seems like a decent male 😄
Azriel:
THis is hilarious! Lucien is just in his own la-di-da world and Azriel is contemplating murder with a knife behind his back and every time Azriel’s like maybe... today’s the day, Lucien’s like... I like your knife and Azriel’s like damn, he’s on to me.
AHHHSFHFAUHAOHAFHA
At Solstice, Azriel’s just Jealous of the bromance between Cassian and Lucien. How dare Lucien talk small talk with Cassian - that’s his best friend!
Cassian was sleeping in a chair beside her bed. His head was at an awkward angle, and his wings drooped onto the stone—and he was wearing only his undershorts and a blanket that looked as if someone had draped it over his lap.
She stared at him for long minutes, the unusual paleness of his face, the brows still scrunched with worry, as if he fretted for her even in his sleep. The sun gilded his dark hair and shone through his wings, bringing out the undertones of reds and golds in both. Like a knight guarding his lady. She couldn’t stop the image, sprung from the pages of her childhood books. Like a warrior-prince, with those tattoos and that muscle-bound chest. Her throat tightened unbearably, her eyes stinging.
His hazel eyes shot to hers, like he always knew precisely where she was. And they were so full of worry, of that unrelenting goodness, that she had to fight like hell to keep the tears from falling. Cassian said gently, “Hey.” She clamped down on herself. “Hello.”
“Are you all right?”
“Yes.” No. Though not for the reason he believed. “Good.” He groaned, stretching, first his arms and then his wings. Muscles rippled.
"You wanna talk about it?"
“No.” “That’s fine.” And that was that. But Cassian threw her a half smile, and it was so normal, so him in a way that no one else was or would ever be, that her throat tightened again. “You want breakfast?”

ACOTAR:
“These bulbs,” Elain said, pointing with a gloved hand to a cluster of purple-and-white flowers, “came all the way from the tulip fields of the continent. Father promised that next spring he’ll take me to see them. He claims that for mile after mile, there’s nothing but these flowers.” She patted the rich, dark soil.
“You should come with me,” Elain went on. “Nesta won’t go, because she says she doesn’t want to risk the sea crossing, but you and I … Oh, we’d have fun, wouldn’t we?”
ACOMAF:
Though some had sprung up on the main continent, full of art and learning and trade. Elain had once wanted to go with me. I didn’t suppose I’d ever get that chance now.
ACOSF:
“Elain had always wanted to visit the continent to study the tulips and other famed flowers, but her imagination had stretched no further.”
Sarah couldn't make it more obvious that Elain will likely go to the continent in her journey.
And I just get sad because Nesta was always afraid of water.
I fucking screamed.
Mother Russia💝
Dang, it kinda matches the first three in style too.
Elain can do so much more with her Gardening knowledge. We know that she wanted to visit the continent to see the flowers there, that she can grow almost everything in her garden and isn't afraid to get her hands dirty. She can easily learn recipes and people enjoy her food. She is a capable reader and follower of instructions. During her time in the human world she was seen to be intelligent and a worthy match for any lord.
So using these things and inspiration from a picture - I give you Elain the Market Gardener/Researcher/Explorer who is just trying to rebuild the earth one plant at a time.

- After the destruction of the War with Hybern, the lands are still recovering. The people of Prythian are most concerned with food but Elain is slowly finding in her travels that other plants are being destroyed to make crops and feed the people.
- She then Makes it her mission to research and preserve all the plants she can - even the ones people don't love.
- This research and gathering of plants takes her around Prythian, But she quickly learns that she cannot take them all back with her to the Night Court due to climate differences as they don't survive very long there.
- So she she gathers other like minded people and finds ways to set up nurseries and gardens in each Court.
- Her "little research job" quickly expands to managing other people and collaborating with them to learn as much as they can about all the plants - magical or otherwise.
- Lucien introduces her to his friend Nuan, whose knowledge quickly comes in handy.
- Nuan becomes her chief science officer making sure that temperatures are kept even and experimenting with ways to create new climates in other courts allowing cross-breeding between vastly different plants.
- Nuan remains based in Dawn. Close to the Night Court but also surrounded by other like minded tinkering people.
- Nuan and Elain become close friends, working together for the betterment of all of Prythian. They have their own team of people that Source the plants, others that save them, and then ones with knowledge slowly realise that this is a good thing happening.
- It takes time for the sprites and forest dwelling lesser fae to trust the high fae walking through their lands but once they start seeing the high fae saving plants from being destroyed they start to open up and share knowledge.

- Elain still loves to get her fingers dirty, to feel one with the soil, so each garden that she travels to has a small plot of land just for her.
- She plants her favourite varieties in each of these small gardens located around Prythian. She always feels at home in each place as long as she gets to spend time in her garden.
- These small gardens become her home, each a reflection of a different part of herself. She doesn't always invite people to see her gardens and often will have another garden for the public to see.
- The secret gardens allow her to continue her own research without anyone else.
- She has Nuala and Ceridwen often visiting her and while they probably know of the secret gardens they have never asked her about them and Elain likes this about them. They know when she does and doesn't want to talk.

- The Spring Court was the first Court she went to. To help the farmers and the local populace but also to make sure that things grew without growing wild. Spring seemed to grow without any help from her so a taming was needed. A pruning of thorns and roses to let smaller, slower growing plants thrive. She had some of the Inner Circle at her disposal for the exercise and even the Band of Exiles helped her. Vassa's fire powers were helpful in that she could burn invasive plants and the ash could be used to fertilise the fields.
- On her way home she did the royal tour - a slow trip through the safer courts of Summer, Winter, Dawn and Day. They quickly moved through the middle not wanting to stop but Elain made sketches of the vines and night blooming flowers from the carriage.
- In each court she realised how many things she had yet to explore and discover. The beauty that was present in every place and how abundant life was.
- The first thing she realised was that her knowledge was lacking. Each court was a whole new place and experience.
- When she arrived in the Day court instead of heading to the hanging gardens by the river she quickly moved into the library with her sister. Nesta left her alone in the halls filled with botany books and went in search of her own book choices.
- The research was just the start but she was determined to use her new found purpose to help the people of prythian in the way she best knew how.

- Over time this developed into greenhouses - plants for sale and user guides for how to take care of them.
- Elain becomes a household name, knowing how to grow anything and everything and. She receives fan mail - Her fans write to her to ask "how do I stop plant X from dying?", if she doesn't know then her team jumps into action and she learns it.
- They develop quarterly publications that talk about the best plants to grow in the court and season and tips for making more exotic plants grow in new climates. Elain loves collecting flowers for Feyre to paint and placing her art on the cover.
- Helion and Rhysand spent time developing a printing press for mass production, and while it is still a minority of Fae that will read the pamphlet, reading it being brought to the masses through Gardening.
- Her teams under Nuan have found medicinal properties for plants and the Dawn court now grows most of the medicinal plants making them more accessible.
- Elain found a sapling for an Ash tree on an excursion, and while she knows this can easily kill Fae she had to preserve the species. So in the middle there is a secret grove known only to her, where ash trees grow.

So I was reading acosf last night and …
Elain, mourn as she might for the life she would have had with Graysen, had found a place, a role here. Tending to the gardens of Feyre’s veritable palace on the river, helping other residents of Velaris restore their own destroyed gardens—she had purpose, and joy, and friends: those two half-wraiths who worked in Rhysand’s household.
It’s already canon that she does this. That she is rebuilding in the way she best knows how. That she is empathetic and helping others in the community.

Eowyn + Faramir
=
Elain + Lucien
I’d love a healing together story. I have no proof just saw some fan art of lord of the rings and went huh that gives me elucien vibes and started to think about things that could be similar.
….
This could also mean - death of Beron and Eris, if they are Borimir and the kings regent whose name escapes me at this moment (Denethor - thanks @elucienhasmywholeheart i saw ur tags <3 <3).
…..
Eowyn killed the nazgul king dude and Elain killed Hybern.
Eowyn thought she had a new love interest only to find out later he loved someone else. Could this be foretelling something for Elain?
Elain is stronger than she seems just like Eowyn.
Faramir is the outdoors man good guy who just wants what is best for everyone - haaave you met lucien?
He has his own band/group of soldier patrolling the border, have you met the band of exiles?
Faramir has a love hate relationship with his family.
It’s not a proper theory just, something I want to think on.
I think it’s kind of invalidating that SAS are pushing the idea that all victims need to be ok with sex in order to heal. Gwyneth is not comfortable with being touched by men. I don’t think it’s right for her “fans” to write sex scenes or draw fan art of her in a sex scene when she’s not comfortable with that. We left off with her barely being able to be alone with men in the room she’s not ready and it’s not ok to assume she ever will be. Not everyone heals the same and Gwyneth isn’t ready.
guess we’re doing this *cracks knuckles*
1. gwyn isn’t real, she’s not gonna be upset if someone draws/writes her into a sex scene. fan arts and fics are for us, the fandom. if we want to consume that content i shouldn’t need to get a signed slip from the fandom police letting me know if that’s ok.
2. everyone’s healing journey is different, but the point of healing is just that: to heal. i’m not gonna go into detail about my own experience, but it took me a long time to feel comfortable and i still experience triggering moments when intimate. i have a friend who literally needs to leave the room when sex is mentioned in any form. she’s in therapy because she doesn’t want to have that reaction and hates feeling like she can never move on from her own trauma. everyone has their own journey and comfort levels which is why she doesn’t read these books that are romance and sex heavy. i chose to consume this content as did many other SA survivors. we want to read romance and sex and gwyn being written into those same scenarios or drawn in an intimate moment with someone should be no worse than seeing feysand or nessian fics/fan art.
3. we actually left gwyn off being hopeful about the future beyond the library. we got that bonus chapter where she appeared comfortable being alone with azriel. her healing journey is only just beginning and it’s not about gwynriel getting together, but about gwyn’s character feeling safe and happy in a world that isn’t kind to women. her joining the valkyries and forming a sisterhood with nesta and emerie was just as much a healing point as her being comfortable enough around azriel to be alone with him and talk/joke. she’s working on figuring out her comfort levels and if people want to explore how she may be intimate with someone that’s up to them. having not seen this same mentality regarding fics about rhys having sex with feyre just proves how sexist this whole argument is. why is it ok for rhys to be healed and move on from his trauma, but gwyn must remain stuck in hers?
4. no one is claiming SA survivors need to be ok with sex in order to heal. my point was that these 4 books are romance and sex heavy. if that is a trigger to someone they shouldn’t be reading these books in the first place. so for the fandom police to get all upset on behalf of SA survivors (please don’t call us victims, thanks) when gwyn is being portrayed in a fic or fanart having sex please shut up. if this is triggering to us we can let our voice be heard about it, but having taken the steps to read these 4 books being a SA survivor myself i don’t see any issues with seeing gwyn in these intimate moments. i would never presume to speak for an entire group of people, but as i said if it is triggers we will speak up, if it is triggering we won’t be 4 books into a fantasy romance series where it’s heavy on the sex scenes, and we wouldn’t be part of this fandom in the first place.
Perfectly said!
Well said.
The library is full of women who all heal differently and have different pasts and want different things.
Nothing wrong with fandom also creating different healing and futures for characters. That’s what fandom is.
Not Cassian, broken and bleeding on the floor. The warrior was still trying to rise on trembling arms. To reach her.
