Nights like these 🙏🙌🏼💛 beach to ourselves, perfect sunset, incredible platter & kombucha in a wine glass 😇 (at Adelaide, South Australia)
HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO ALL THE BEAUTIFUL MUMMAS OUT THERE including you @julieharveyy 💖💖 & thanks to @ecotan for providing mumma and I with our natural glow💜 what we put on our skin is just as important as what we put into our body! lots of fake tan is full of nasties 😷 But eco tan is made with cacao, flower essence & chamomile so I’m super happy with the ingredients & quality and it’s vegan of course 😍😍 v happy because my natural tan fades as soon as winter hits so at least it will look like I’ve had adequate amounts of vitamin D this winter 😂 #toxicfreeliving
Teriyaki edamame and mung bean noodles with tofu and mixed veg 🙌🏼 quick, easy, delicious & nutritious (what more could ya want) perfect for when you finish uni at 6 and come home ravenous 😂 the noodles only take 2 mins to cook (winning), veggies/ tofu takes less than a minute to prep (I use what ever veg is in the fridge but tonight it was broccoli, mushrooms, zucchini & baby spinach). Then all you do is marinate the tofu in @niulife cocoamino teriyaki sauce and cook with olive oil for a few minutes each side. Place aside and cook the vegetables for a few minutes in water. Then add noodles and tofu back in the pan with the sauce (teriyaki, tamari, garlic, chilli, apple cider vinegar & lemon or lime) then top with black sesame seeds and voila done in about 7 mins 🙏
One of the best motivators to stay healthy is to learn what’s in your food. Some of us just eat for the sake of eating with no thought of what it does to our body. Here’s a little insight of what’s in this smoothie: 🍌 Banana: High in potassium & fibre (and makes any smoothie taste delicious), supports good heart health & contains tryptophan which is linked to aiding memory and boosting mood. 🌱greens powder: blend of spirulina: high quality protein (60%), contain the antioxidants Phycocyanin and Zeaxanthin: for liver, kidney, brain, eye and skin health. Also supports the immune system. Chlorella: has the highest form of chlorophyll which has been linked to detoxifying the body from heavy metals and toxins. Also rich in vitamin A, B, C and E. Barleygrass: great for energy and restoration. Is also great for building, cleansing and alkalising the blood. Alfalfa: Highest of alkalising foods. Rich in vitamins, minerals, chlorophyll and protein. Organic marine plant minerals: includes calcium, magnesium and 72 other trace minerals with great bioavailability (so the amount that gets absorbed into the body is actually a large amount) 🍒🍓Frozen berrries + cherries: rich in antioxidants, high in phenols (promotes good health and protection from disease), high in vitamins C, E, and ellagic acid (cancer fighting properties), reduce inflammation and contains melatonin which support healthy sleep. ☘️Hemp seeds: very nutrient dense seed. rich in two essential fatty acids, linoleic acid (omega-6) and alpha-linolenic acid (omega-3). Great source of protein, can help reduce heart disease and aid with digestion. 💪🏼Protein powder: High in BCAAs to help fast muscle recovery. Also supports weight loss, lowers the risk of kidney disease, build muscle and regulates blood sugar levels. This protein powder also includes Maca for energy levels and balancing hormones. Chia for omega 3, great source of fibre and antioxidants. Psyllium Husk for promoting healthy and regular bowel movements and overall gut health as it is a prebiotic (assists good probiotics to grow in the gut) CONTINUED IN COMMENTS 👇🏼👇🏼
Okay a bit of a personal post but I think it’s so important & it’s been a long time since I’ve done a long ramble so please read until the end 💛 I was going through my old notes on my phone and found this post 👇🏼 Late night thoughts: As of this moment every decision I make is going to make me a happier person. I am going to work on myself to become a better person and to make the world a better place. I'm going to work towards travelling, becoming healthier and happier. I will get out of this mental rut. I will stop wasting money on pointless things and I will stop drinking exssesively. I will stop pining for guys who don't deserve my attention. I will meet someone who loves me for me and who is right for me. I'm going to do something I love every day to work on myself. I’m going to focus and make uni a priority to better the future of not only myself but my future clients. Happy and healthy is key 🙌🏼 - 30.07.17 UM CRAZY WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU MANIFEST YOUR THOUGHTS INTO THE UNIVERSE AND PUT YOUR ENERGY INTO WHATS IMPORTANT. I remember writing this post just feeling lost and not my happy self. I was going out quite a lot, making some silly decisions. Not really living the life I believed in and one that wasn’t good mentally or physically! I was trying to find love in the wrong places because I didn’t know what I deserved and almost panicked that the right person wasn’t out there for me.... 3 months later this guy walked into my life on the most random of occasions and without getting even soppier he is the honestly one of the most amazing humans I have ever met, so caring, humble, compassionate, funny, loving (I honestly can’t put it into words) and makes me feel loved every single day. I’ve stopped going out every weekend which means I’ve focused my weekends on health, nourishing my body, getting good sleep, exercising, spending time with loved ones and actually getting shit done. I’ll drink on really special occasions but I have learnt to say no. I’ve worked so damn hard with uni this year. Harder than I ever have before and I’m in the best mental place I’ve been in a long time 🙌🏼 (Continued in comments...)
