Here’s a wee sketch of Loki I made
I’m really fascinated by the people that worship Loki now, norse mythology is so fragmented it’s hard to tell if Loki was maybe worshipped in the Viking heathen era
But there is the Loka Táttur a ballad from the later medieval period where a peasant calls on Odin and Hoenir to rescue his son from the clutches of a giant but it’s Loki that eventually saves the day - I just wonder if this is based on older material, Loki is maybe who you went to when you’d run out of options
He was dangerous yes but he might just be the one to come to your aid when no one else would …
