I often think about how Dorian feels, when he is performing magic. As a musician I would like to compare it with a trance-like mood. Everything is a bit slower and every detail shines out. His whole body is grounded and every tingle on his skin shows him, that he is completely in his element. 

Quell kept the extent of the Anchor’s effects a secret from Dorian while he was in Tevinter. But he can’t hide it anymore.
