All this years ago? I thought he was 19?? Does his species become an adult in like a year or something?

Likely ages slowly. M’gann in Young Justice in season 1 is the same age as Artemis’s mom, 40 years old, but is biologically equivalent to an Earth teenager.

I saw another post from Giancarlo saying they (half-) joked about the Forgotten Zone’s races being ancient, but they have also confirmed separately that Razer is the equivalent of an Earth 19 year old, and this is backed up by both Hal and Kilowog calling him kid.

So yeah, my guess is slower aging process. He’s a teenager biologically but has lived for many years. I think he acts like a teenager plenty, but also he seems to have experienced some shit, too.

I also read somewhere that Ilana died 6 years before the start of GLTAS? Not sure on that one.

In which Razer and Aya crashland on a junkyard planetoid similar to Mogo, but sans the sentience. Scrap hunters thrive there and a squabble over valuable parts can lead to a fight to the death. In a violent attempt to disassemble the magnificent piece of circuitry that Aya is, a brawl ensues and Razer becomes an interim ‘king of the hill’, a mountain of junk parts his prize, and Aya’s body his ward.

Wow what a totally platonic thank-you hug between Aya and Razer. What good friends they are.

All gushing inappropriate comments/fanart I may tend to make about these two, I think that the Green Lantern Animated Series fandom is full of people who are here for more than just fluff. We were drawn to the great character development, writing and dialogue that these two had together and separately as characters. The character arcs and the beautifully subtle change they had going on was DIAMONDS. Aya doesn’t exist just to heal manpain for Razer, and Razer fights alongside her, and they regard each other as equals. So when something canon DID happen that meant more than friendship by the end of the season, the payoff for us as an audience is exponentially rewarding.
