New ref for my Titan oc, Fossil! I love my long blorbo. A few extra facts:

I think it’s so funny that I was actually inspired to make them by all the Collector ocs/sonas. But even though the Collector ocs are so cool, I felt more inclined to make a Titan, as making an animal character is always more fun to me. Plus, Titans are awesome and I don’t see as many ocs for them.

I realize most people that make Titan ocs seem to have a general idea of how/when they died relative to the Archivists wiping them out. But that’s not something I thought of much. I kept imaging mine being post the actual show timeline somehow, but I guess it wouldn’t make sense.

So… as a hypothetical for now, if I decide Fossil did die during the Titan purging, I imagine they fell somewhere in the sea. And owing to their relatively small size for a Titan and being so long bodied rather than big and wide, their body did largely disappear under the water and also sank into the sand over the years.

But I’m not sure on Fossil’s actual timeline. Might be easier to decide as well if I interacted them with other ocs. I’m a bit shy but interacting with other Titan ocs or non-hostile Collector types could be interesting.

I got it in my head that as Fossil grows, they gain an extra pair of arms just because and also to compensate for their body length. Perhaps so instead of wings. If wings grow in on Titans as they age, I see no reason why an extra set of arms is out of the question (especially considering wings ARE arms). It’s the Boiling Isles, shit’s weird.

I love giving this blorbo some bizarre ass anatomy that’s probably not overtly common to Titans.

If this idea really sticks to my brain I might start drawing them this way. I would, of course, still draw them in their sick pirate duds, just with some modifications for the extra arms. I really want them to embody the title “The Long Titan” lmao.

Wanted to show how big Fossil is to the average adult witch.

I also wanted to get a more accurate depiction of how long Fossil’s torso is. They have a very long torso for a Titan. In fact, it seems almost like they grow longer in the torso instead of actually taller/larger all around(which might have truth to it). Many joke about this, including Fossil themself. They will, however, take full offense if someone asks them if they are part Ratworm or some other horrible worm creature. The nerve!

They are quite flexible and as of right now don’t seem to suffer any adverse effects such as chronic back pain.

There’s not much lore for Titans in TOH, nor a whole lot of people (that I can find), that do Titan ocs. So there’s just a couple of things my brain is thinking or pondering about Titans in regards to Fossil(my Titan oc):

-In my brain, for Fossil, I’m working with the idea that Titans take absolute hundreds and hundreds of years to reach the size of the Boiling Isles. I know we see varying sizes of skulls in the Titan Hunter trophy room. But even outside of that, I am intrigued by the idea that they take a long time to reach truly massive sizes.

-Since Fossil is a pirate, it got me wondering vaguely if for any reason the Titan species might be immune to boiling water. There’s no evidence either way, just pondering for character building reasons.

I would love to see more Titan lore and characters the way I’ve seen for Collectors, it’s so cool!

My pinterest is pretty much oops all monkeys, knitted hoods, and book-related things.

Honestly amused the fuck out of myself this morning.

What if Dragon had the ability to turn into creatures she described out loud from a book? Either she could do it with any book, or has a specific magic book. But like, there’s a funny thing about it. She’s a small like one foot tall monkey, right? So like, she describes a GIANT fire breathing red dragon!

…she stays exactly one foot tall, and still looks very monkey-like with her quills and fur and only gets tiny lil wings that won’t carry her. And when she breathes fire it’s tiny flame and hurts her throat.

Very ink magic.

Idk if I’d actually do this because I still gotta do thinking about her having powers or not, plus idk if I’d wanna give up Gloop for that or not. I’m very on the fence about everything.
