The fact that this is the third time this man is on the ballot for US president is shameful. The fact that the election is this close after everything this man has openly admitted to and been convicted of is shameful. There is no pride in being American when this is our reality. There is no pride in knowing that Americans were faced with the decision to either vote for a bigoted felon or for a candidate that could not make a single promise to work towards a ceasefire in Gaza. There is no pride in knowing that nearly a million people voted third party to make a point, forgoing securing the rights of women, trans folks, migrants, and minorities in the process. There is no pride in knowing that even voting for the side that does want to protect those rights doesn't secure our future, but could just be delaying the inevitable and clear decay of our democracy. It's a shameful day to be an American

He won the popular vote too. The majority of American people voted to support him and his bigotry. And don't hit me with the "i don't support everything he says I just voted for x" no. If baking a cake for a gay couples' wedding means that you support gay marriage, then voting for a bigot makes you a bigot. Fucking shameful day to be an American where this is what the majority stands for

At the end, if the rich choose to let the Earth grow too hot to sustain us and the oceans swallow the coastlines, we can take peace in knowing they have only delayed the inevitable for themselves. The Earth does not care if you came from money.

I know i'm just a random person you follow online but I mean it. People (all kinds of marginalised people too!) Have survived all types of horrible times and managed to find happiness eventually. If for no one else, survive for them. And also, try to survive because the people making you despair don't want you to live. Don't give this to them. Don't give your life. The best thing you can do is cling to it with everything you've got.

#2024 has been a wild ride for the climate huh? gods just recalling it all....#its just that the climate crisis hits us here so so hard.....#n every year is much much harder gods.... it was unbearable two years ago. im so anxious for 2025 already..#n w the recent election its only gonna get worse 😐 gdi#srsly so so scared for the next yr. i hope its better i rly rly do
