baby bunny update.
I can’t believe how easily you all abandon the Halloween spirit just because its November now. The way I see it, Halloween isn’t over until you’re forced to take off the skeleton mask because its making your little cousin cry at Thanksgiving dinner.
You think this is a joke?
i’m screaming???
But like, what if instead of that, we start off with the 5000 people in suspended animation and one wakes up 90 years before the rest like in the original premise. And they guy does enjoy the ship for awhile before the whole “I’m going to die alone in a metal box in space” thing comes up. And he’s alone and the robo bartender is can only provide so much company, regardless of how well they make a space mojito.
And he finds himself back in the room where all the people are in suspended animation. But he doesn’t see a beautiful woman. Or rather, he doesn’t just see a beautiful woman, he sees many people. A child holding a favorite toy. A man with a prosthetic leg. A pair of twins. So many people. And he watches the video profiles of all the other 4999 passengers and tries to find out as much information about ALL of them as possible. Because he has 4999 people for his neighbors and right now he just wants to feel like he’s not alone.
He starts talking to them, knowing they’ll never answer him, but it helps a little bit. He knows all of them by name and he cares about all of them very much. Because that’s as close to human contact that he’s ever going to get, because gods forbid him waking any of the 4999 other passengers up and damning them to a live in a metal box in space that’d be fucking cruel.
And then something happens and the ship’s in danger and it can’t be fixed without a human. He tells the robo bartender that if he doesn’t come back, to tell the others that he’s sorry. And he goes to fix it and succeeds and saves everyone, but he ends up being unable to get back inside the ship. But he can still access the intercom and says good bye to everyone he knows before he runs out of air.
And then when everyone wakes up and there’s a headcount, they’re confused as to why they’re one short. And they find out via security recordings and the robo bartender about the man who woke up early. The man who considered everyone of them a friend even though they had never met. The man who sacrificed himself without hesitation to save all of them. And all 4999 passengers are really touched by this and even after the colony is established and it prospers and becomes a fully civilized planet, the man who loved and saved them all is never forgotten.
And I came up with that about 10 seconds after reading the article, checkmate screenwriters.
See I would go see this movie in a HEARTBEAT. This actually sounds like a good film on its own, and tbh I feel cheated that instead of this, we got gross male entitlement and overall lack of consent. I’m just going to pretend that this is the real movie, because there’s no way I’m going to Passengers and it’s a shame because I was actually looking forward to it.
Ariana Grande Vows to Fight Every Homophobe in Single Combat to First Blood
AU where what Lucius Malfoy took away from watching the duel between Voldemort and Harry was not that he should go back to old Snakeface and offer up his home and his only child to his service, but instead he recognises Voldy’s inability to deliver on his promise that he will kill Harry to prove his power as a sign that Harry probably really is a Big Deal.
AU where Harry being able to stand up to one of the most powerful wizards of the century at the age of 14 and makes Lucius think that he probably needs to reevaluate his allegiance in the war, and upon leaving the grave yard, he rushes to collect his wife and travel to Hogwarts, talks to Dumbledore and begs for his protection in exchange for information.
AU where Lucius, Narcissa and Draco are hiding at Grimmauld Place together with Sirius, and the Black cousins have to reconsile (at least in part). Draco gets to know Sirius and comes to really like him (because let’s face it, pre-HBP Draco is a little shit and a drama queen, and that’s pretty much the best ever summary of Sirius as well). Lucius refuse to talk to anyone in the Order beside Dumbledore and Snape and everyone hates having him around except Keacher, who is delighted to care for Miss Cissy and her family, and because he has a “proper Black” in the house again he is too happy to run an tell Bellatrix all about Sirius and Harry’s relationship.
AU where Molly Weasley and Narcissa Malfoy go to make Grimmauld Place habitable together. They don’t really want to work together, at first, but after a few rounds of disagreeing with each other on principle, they realise that they have both been taught the same way to deal with poisonous doxy, and then that they both danced to Celestina Warbeck at their weddings, and that they both had charms as their best subjects at school, and that neither can sleep because they are so worried about their children being caught up in this stupid war. And after that, any difference in lifestyle and principles don’t seem to matter as much anymore.
AU where Draco doesn’t go back to Hogwarts in fifth year but wants to know what is going on at school, with his friends, and since he can’t write to any of his Slytherin friends because the people around him doesn’t trust that they aren’t Voldemort supporters he is instead offered the macical mirror from Sirius, and grudgingly agrees to talk to Harry to ask how things are going. And as they start to realise that without House rivalry and Draco’s dad being an asshole as an example to his son, they actually don’t mind each other much. And Draco never gets the dark mark and his spirit is never broken.
AU with this one small thing that makes all the difference.
but i really know you.
i’m sorry but you’ve literally got the last four presidents telling you to vote for one candidate. what more could you possibly want than four dudes telling you that someone is such bad news that two of them are willing to go against their own political party to say so. like. HONESTLY.
When even George W. says “nah man, that’s a bad idea” It’s probably a bad idea.
it’s not just the last four presidents either. it’s two of the last republicans to run for president - romney and mccain. even GLENN BECK, the extremely conservative radio host, said voting for hillary is more ethical than voting for trump.
I am Beyonce, always.

It kind of really confuses me when Barbie commercials have little girls dressing them up and brushing their hair Like no Barbie is not about fashion. Barbie is about collecting as many dolls as you can get your grubby 7 year old hands on and dominating the living room with your expansive empire of plastic women. Barbie is about creating intricate social structures and spicy inter-family conflicts between town house residents. Barbie is about formulating complex back stories for tortured Ken dolls with emotional scars. It’s about creating near-sadistic dramatic plot twists that split up marriages and cause that one Barbie you really dislike to be ceremoniously tossed down the stairs in order to be offed by the jealous ex-wife of Ken #4.
Yes, but how do you make it into a marketable commercial that won’t freak parents and caregivers out?
I’ve always had the impression that advertisers don’t really understand how girls play with their toys.
Alternatively, never use the Ken dolls at all and have Barbie marry your King Kong figurine.
My dad once found a Barbie buried in a basement cabinet behind a bunch of expired cleaning supplies and when he asked what she was doing there we calmly told him, “Jail.”

A lot of people ask me what my biggest fear is, or what scares me most. And I know they expect an answer like heights, or closed spaces, or people dressed like animals, but how do I tell them that when I was 17 I took a class called Relationships For Life and I learned that most people fall out of love for the same reasons they fell in it. That their lover’s once endearing stubbornness has now become refusal to compromise and their one track mind is now immaturity and their bad habits that you once adored is now money down the drain. Their spontaneity becomes reckless and irresponsible and their feet up on your dash is no longer sexy, just another distraction in your busy life. Nothing saddens and scares me like the thought that I can become ugly to someone who once thought all the stars were in my eyes.
this fucks me up every single time
I never expected this to be my most popular poem out of the hundreds I’ve written. I was extremely bitter and sad when I wrote this and I left out the most beautiful part of that class.
After my teacher introduced us to this theory, she asked us, “is love a feeling? Or is it a choice?” We were all a bunch of teenagers. Naturally we said it was a feeling. She said that if we clung to that belief, we’d never have a lasting relationship of any sort.
She made us interview a dozen adults who were or had been married and we asked them about their marriages and why it lasted or why it failed. At the end, I asked every single person if love was an emotion or a choice.
Everybody said that it was a choice. It was a conscious commitment. It was something you choose to make work every day with a person who has chosen the same thing. They all said that at one point in their marriage, the “feeling of love” had vanished or faded and they weren’t happy. They said feelings are always changing and you cannot build something that will last on such a shaky foundation.
The married ones said that when things were bad, they chose to open the communication, chose to identify what broke and how to fix it, and chose to recreate something worth falling in love with.
The divorced ones said they chose to walk away.
Ever since that class, since that project, I never looked at relationships the same way. I understood why arranged marriages were successful. I discovered the difference in feelings and commitments. I’ve never gone for the person who makes my heart flutter or my head spin. I’ve chosen the people who were committed to choosing me, dedicated to finding something to adore even on the ugliest days.
I no longer fear the day someone who swore I was their universe can no longer see the stars in my eyes as long as they still choose to look until they find them again.
This is so fucking important and I think it’s something I needed right now
holy shit over a million notes. Thank you all so much
Still love this

You know the scene in part 1 where Hermione erases her parents’ memories and the picture become blank?
wouldn’t it be weird if her parents were like “where did these blank pictures come from, idgi”
like, at least use pics of Steve Buscemi as replacements, Hermione damn

Mr Granger: “It’s a nice chair, dear”
