The Other Geese
In my experience, back when I lived near NYC, the Canada Goose was most common, but here are two other species I was able to see: Snow and Brant. Later, when I visited Nebraska, I would see thousands of snows, filling the sky.

Flying Meet
A westbound Conrail train meets an eastbound Union Pacific. This occurred for former Pennsylvania tracks between Teutopolis and Montrose, Illinois. After this “flying meet” (both trains on the move), we paced the eastbound train using Highway 40, the old “National Road”.

From the Promenade
Here's a look at lower Manhattan on a cold day. Two ships are passing each other near where the East River empties into Upper New York Harbor—one a tug with barge, and the other an ocean-going vessel.
