Welcome to Night Vale was the #1 podcast in 2013 and had monthly listenership of over 10 million, sold out live shows, etc. You think that 60,000 odd of those millions of people can’t possibly be on Tumblr? Give me a break. It’s not rigged there are just a ton of people who have been on this site for 9 or 10 years and we’re all getting deep nostalgia for when Cecil fanart and memes were inescapable. Honestly as someone who didn’t know who Sans even was before this it’s cool that so many people played Undertale I guess.
