Olive testing out the rats newest prop, which is a mini keyboard! Excited to see how this trick will progress during future sessions! (Side note, but in 6 years of searching this is the ONLY mini piano I’ve found that’s sensitive enough to detect rat paws - I was so excited to find it, I’ve wanted to train this trick forever!)

something I love about rats is their glassy button eyes that look like 

but what I love even more is when you catch their eyes in the right light and get a glimpse of their pupils which are actually like

it’s not great for proving the case that rats aren’t scary but it’s pretty hilarious imo

the same thing (almost) goes for rabbits, albeit their pupils are much bigger so the cartoony effect is lost :-(

however, it does still lead to one of my favorite internet images of all time

just heard my roommate yell ‘you USED me!!!’ from the living room n im sitting here like ??? 2 seconds later my rat comes running into my room holding a french fry in his lil baby mouth
