A Florida man was murdered early Sunday morning defending his gay friends from a drunk homophobe who followed them out of the restaurant where they were eating.

Multiple witnesses reported that the killer came after the group and shouted, “If we were in my country I’d kill all of you like rats. I hate you damned gays. I’m going to kill you all here.”

The victim, 22-year-old Juan Javier Cruz , was shot dead with a handgun Mena pulled from his pocket after defending his friends.

This is not right that people have to die just because homophobia is flourishing in America.

RIP Juan Javier Cruz, you are a hero.

I just got over the worst period ive had in years and then i fucking get food poisoning and my stomach/intestines have been fucked up ever since and now the stress of this is just

My brain still cant even begin to process it- it feels far away like it couldn’t have possibly happened but there’s spurts where I feel like I can start breaking down- because I know this is actually happening. I’m so scared to let myself because the closest I got was when I got the call and I almost threw up at work and I was practically screaming between sobs.

I’m really never gonna talk to him again... and all because someone was reaching into the backseat and not paying attention to the road. My uncle is gone because someone swerved into his car going full fucking speed.

Driving up here I got fucking furious at everyone who pulled some stupid shit on the road because they weren’t paying attention or wanted to shave a few minutes off their travel time. My uncle is gone and the driver who killed him is dead and the two passengers in her car are in critical care.

21-year-old Baltimore Country man dies after being beaten up by police officers.

Tawon Boyd, a 21-year-old man from Essex, Maryland, was hospitalized after a fight with police, where he was later pronounced dead.

Police were called at 3AM on Sunday to the first block of Akin Circle in Middle River on a report of a disturbance. Boyd was found “confused and paranoid, sweating heavily.”

According to the police Boyd refused to obey orders and began fighting officers, but victim’s family and Deona Styron, his fiance, tell a different story:

“He on the ground, 5 other officers on top of him, and not only that, one police officer got his arm around his neck like this, punching him, punching, him and throughout the whole thing he’s like I can’t breathe, I can’t breathe…”

There is no way you can twist this story to justify the police beating this kid to death. Police were called to help, but they ended up killing the guy. There is no excuse - they’re supposed to serve and protect and they have to be able to deal with all kinds of people. Not everyone is mentally stable, not everyone is white, but that does not give you the right to beat them to death!
